Good chance of it happening. Assam has something in abundance which other parts of India lack - water plus it isn't a densely populated state. No clue how will it handle logistics but if Tata's have made a proposal they'd have figured it out .

Hope for it to work out. But more often than not MoUs are just push-up bras for state investor summits, used to pad up the investment "commitment". On top of that multiple semiconductor proposals have created a hype all over- Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and the list goes on.

Kindly take note Assam has abundant water which is required for FEB industries. However At the same time rest of India is Water scares.

This alone puts Assam way ahead in Semi Con. Take note Electricity in any part of India is not a concern now.
