If they were trying to exfil, it is possible that they were going back after delivering arms ( lightly armed to move faster) or if new recruits are involved, then the arms confisticated from them must be stolen ( which is never in high quantity).

Media has it that they were intercepted and arrested by the AR and SOG while trying to exfiltrate into POK.

According to Army sources, they were arrested after a brief gunfight in a forest range of Kalaroos. "Extreme restraint was exercised and opportunity given to the militants to surrender. Four recruited militants surrendered. However, three militants fled from the spot under the cover of fire," said the Army.

Surrendered? Just goes to show their poor level of motivation!

So pakis are going back to their old formula of depending local Kashmiris for cannon fodder.

Which means that the strategy of blasting paki bunkers for three years during infiltrations paid off..

Which also means there will be more propaganda saying Kashmiri militancy is a local uprising, which by the way they started saying last year itself.

Why is the Indian Army using its old helmets at SCO ex peace mission 2018 when they used the new helmets at ex Maitree albeit without camouflage?

Maybe a deliberate ploy to not show off in front of your enemies, esp. Pak. Equipment swap is generally done at such events to get a feel of the opponent's stuff ....

The latest helmet ordered by Indian Army is made of composite fibre
This helmets are not Bulletproof. To make these helmets Bulletproof, the manufacturer has to add Steel plates which makes these helmets too heavy for use
But the new helmet made of ceramic are Bulletproof and light enough for military use
Our new bullet proof jackets also have ceramic inserts therefore it seems that we have developed ceramic armour Technology
therefore the logical development is that we should order new ceramic armour based helmets for our soldiers
