Rest In Peace ..

This is the second time this has happened with loss of precious life of soldiers, There is something wrong with Intelligence in these areas ..
The police are to be blamed because the regular police operatives and villagers have deals with maoists. You dont kill me i will look after ur back , such kind of nexus understanding they have. Some times if any police personal there in that area will dissappear before ambush takes place.

While crpf an allien force there are the ones who hunts and get hunted in ambushes, hence police breath air of staying alive not being killed in revenge attacks until they are transferred from that area. Its a open fact.

Crpf have to be on war front with heavy equipment, they should not be used for patrols ( instead police should be sent and monitor the progress on quad drones by crpf).

Crpf should only be used for ambushes and air deployed missions.

Crpf is skilled force we cannot afford to loose them on silly securing or patrolling . Rajnath has to raise seperate patrolling police force (probably reserve police like civilians) who are not posted in regular police stations.

Respect to the martyred and injured. Thanks for your service and sacrifice.

CRPF as a force cannot be entrusted with anything nowadays. They are getting beaten everywhere and taking national confidence down

The naxal front is totally managed by state and central police forces. I am calling out the CRPF leadership for being unable to contain if not not outright eliminate the naxal despite having years of experience and rapid expansion funded by taxpayer. Will the army have let a force of 3 companies attack their troops in strength? And if so, the naxal party would have been decimated

The CRPF has expanded in a quantitative sense, not qualitative sense. There is a reason for it. Fighting an insurgency is not just about killing people. It's a Chinese game of "GO" where you need to not only defeat enemy player but also stretch out your forces in such a way that you occupy a large area. It's not like Chess where you kill one unit and move on.

Every time CRPF liberates a new area from naxals, it has to stay there for 5 years, build roads, schools, do counter-propaganda and then that company stays there. Then they induct one more company to liberate the next village. That is the long lasting way to do it. It's slow because it requires permanent deployment, just like building a police chowki in a new place which never had chowki. The more chowkis you build the more the cost will increase on paper.

CRPF was raised SPECIFICALLY as a low cost - low tech - manpower intensive force to play the man-to-man marking game with Naxals. They are not SF.

But 300 Naxals gathering in one place and not a single one being on the radar of any intel agency means big big failure.

Will the heavy equipment have any incremental advantage compared to small caliber weapons? the Naxals never assemble or stay in large numbers so hitting them with artillery shells is not possible.

PS : CRPF itself was raised with this logic that the Army is highly skilled and we need a cheap force for patrolling, that's why they created the CRPF. If CRPF is removed from Naxal areas then where will it serve?

The main point here is that unlike Kashmir where the weather is harsh and terrorists need to hide in someone's house for shelter so intel gathering becomes a bit easier because of the HUMINT element. But the Naxals live in tropical forests, they can live alone, move men and material at night, so this is always going to be a cat and mouse game.

This is the price we pay for NOT cultivating offensive assets behind enemy lines in countries which sponsor the Naxals via the Church.

When Russia was facing pressure in Syria, they picked up the Baltimore riots in US and fueled the flames and set the whole city on fire. RT was providing 24/7 coverage of police brutality and giving directions for black protesters to move and organize. Every time an attack like this happens where the casualty is too high, we must respond to their main sponsors in kind.

To cultivate intelligence behind enemy lines BJP and Congress needs to have common agenda on this.
Let say BJP has started to this program behind enemy lines..then congress will remove when they come to power.
If u ask why...they say...they will feel insecure.
WTF.
Your idea won't work bro.

Pure BS

CrPF in operations Last year 135 extremists were killed, 700 were arrested, 1,198 surrendered, and there was a 15 per cent drop in the number of attacks.

Even Army get ambushed in J&K its part of the game
Reason for failure was Zero intelligence and failure by state police

Just now your Are talking Cobra gun down 12 naxals after attack

  • Some Good News:
  • J&K: Army gets heavy firepower to fight terrorists this summer
THE ASIAN AGE. | RAJNISH SHARMA
    Published : Mar 2, 2017, 4:53 am IST
    Updated : Mar 2, 2017, 10:06 am IST

This was the first time in over a decade that any government has overhauled the entire weapon system of security forces in the Valley.

Tavor assault rifles, known for reliability and Glock 17 pistols, known for high rate of fire.
New Delhi: The Centre has given a major push to equip the Army and central paramilitary forces with advanced weapons and equipment in anticipation of increased militant activity in Kashmir valley in summer.

Intelligence agencies have hinted that militant activity may reach an all-time high this summer, people familiar with the matter said. This was the first time in over a decade that any government has overhauled the entire weapon system of security forces deployed in the Valley, the people said.

They said the first consignment of lightweight bulletproof vests — which has been a longstanding demand of the security forces — and mine and bulletproof vehicles, lightweight rocket launchers (shoulder mounted), Tavor assault rifles and rapid-fire Glock 17 pistols have already reached the Valley. The next lot is expected in the next few weeks.

H&K MP-5 sub-machine gun, known for low recoil

In the next batch, the security forces would be armed with H&K MP-5 sub-machine guns (known for low recoil), sniper rifles, improved communication gadgets and special boots which can sustain an improvised explosive device blast.

People familiar with the matter said this was a major initiative by the Centre in its fight against terror in the Valley, and the entire equipment will be delivered to security personnel before the onset of summer.

The Centre is still exploring possibilities of procuring non-lethal weapons for crowd control, although the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force has already said it was planning to use a modified version of the pellet guns. These guns allegedly inflicted severe eye injuries to protesters in the Valley last year.

“While we want to insulate protesters from any major injuries, there will be major crackdown against militants in the summer months,” said a security officer who did not want to be named.

“Intelligence reports already suggest that militants are planning major offensive in the Valley. Even last year the infiltration attempts were at an all-time high,” the officer said. The new weapons will also be given to forces deployed along the International Border and the Line of Control with Pakistan.

Apart from better equipment, security forces, particularly paramilitary forces, have been told that their personnel should get the “best available quality” food.

The commanding officers have been asked to check and taste the food before it is served to soldiers. Recently, Border Security Force constable Tej Bahadur posted a video on social media that showed poor quality food given to soldiers.

What do you mean Kunal Bhai? Is the news false?
Tavor and glock 17 are limited to SF and Ghatak. Highly unlikely they are going to be given to regular troops.

MP5 is 9mm, highly unlikely that they are going to be used in COIN.

Those anti mine boots mentioned are not for regular troops. Check the pic on ofb site, highly impractical as regular boots.

Basically this is a feel good article, to impress fanboys.
