Which weapons stops functioning below 700 meters of range ? Not even a Prithvi missile.
So are you trained in spouting this nonsense or you do this as a free service?

The minimum range of Prithvi missile is 40 km aka it could not engage enemies below that range.

Similarly M777 has a minimum range of 2600m.

In fact, no matter what brain-dead morons like you jack off to, almost every heavy weapon system has a minimum operational range

Now, that you have proved yourself to be stupid, may we actually proceed to debating the points raised?

Give minimum range of whatever bleeds your posterior but do not give for NAG missile which is under discussion.

700 meter as minimum range. Are you making those missiles for Pakistan?
Forget about 155 artillery for which there is no minimum range. It is safety range. If you do not understand that it is better to learn. There is no harm. Do you know how does artillery fire when it is SOS?

But please do not fart from your confused brain.

5 Danush make it an “Indian army” artillery system.
Yes sir, as we know that we will get more than 200 of those guns. It is a question of production.
But where has GoI approved import of about 8000 launchers and about 80000 missile which is approximately Indian Army requirement ?

Thak has been spoked / bitten by a NAG called DRDO.

Na banaunga na lene doonga !

Oh sorry, my mistake. Do facts hurt your ego? Do you need a safe space? Should we create one for you?

Like seriously dude, just shut up if you don't know. No need to continue proving your idiocy

OK Leave it Pandeyji .... you keep NAG with you with 700 meter minimum range. I do not think any one requires it. You can shub it up. The dead weight....

Let us not derail the thread.

Ultimately it is going to be Spike or Javelin - watch and see it.

NAG is a typical case in which DRDO is deliberately forcing India to buy "foreign maal" by not making anything for last 30 years. Foreign vendor can influence buying decision two ways :

= By bribing the buyer to buy his "maal" instead of DRDO maal.
= By bribing DRDO not to make the "maal".

In case of MPATGM - NAAG which is required in very large numbers foreign vendors are taking the second option But here are people blaming the Army. What a farce.

Do you even understand how production works? Making MPATGM isn't that simple. The setting up of production line & delivery takes time. The production is to be from end of 2019 with a couple test in May & June (assuming the army doesn't complain about the colour). Considering the MPATGM program started in 2015 this is a success by any standard.

Firstly, I had requested you to stop polimics. If you have to contribute then give some information.
I do not understand production ? I only understand how to hit it at enemy ass. So you tell us what is production?
Is it more complicated than making Tejas ?

Making MPATGM isn't that simple.
OK, if it was simple why would Govt employ, BTechs, MTechs, Managers and production Mangers like you on Crores of budget? If it is not simple then get aside. Who the hell says you make it. Your maal is more defective / expensive than market. you are not "thekedar"...

Does it take more than 30 years? Who is making Milan and Konkurs? or rather assembling for last 40 years?

You consider the members of the forum as naive? 2015 or 1983 ? The Nag project was conceived in 1983 and since then you all ave been screwing it at government expenses .

India requires 80,000 or so MPATGMs and about 3000 launchers.

If Bharat Dynamics starts making their own 1.5M per piece missile, it will bankrupt MoD. Every thing inside "khoka" is imported only outer khokha will be made in India. As it is they have come down to 2.5 km from the boastful 7 km. The organisation which failed to make a wire guided ATGM is boasting on third generation missile based on imported seekers, that too a blind one.

Such a quantity will be made by greedy DRDO in not less than 30 years.

So Indian Army can hold their "Tulu" in place of NAG MPATGM for minimum 30 years while five directors of Imarat would have gone on retirement with Padma Awards in that period.

Khushi hi khushi .... Ham jaison ko bhejenge Haz par.

Brother you should read about Nag first.
Nag agtm has 7km range and operational with namika platform. Its halicopter launch version also in user trial phase. This project was started in 1983.
Nag MPATGMS project started in 2015. And all MPATGMS has range of 2.5km including spike or javelins. Yes like nag they have different versions and different platforms with different ranges.

In indian environment performance parameters always come down due to exteme heat of rajasthan or extreme cold of siachin.

NAG missile as part of integrated missile development programme was conceived as man portable A/tk missile - to be second generation wire guided - Then when they found that missile is 40 kg and above and they are unable to make any MPATGM, they forgot about MPATGM and to save their skins started to developing HELINA and NAMIKA. By then Hellfire was catching everyone's imagination. So they embarked on making so called Indian Hellfire. Why does any one need a 40 kg+ missile to destroy a tank or APC?

The idea was to develop third generation , top attack, lock before launch etc etc A/tk missile. But they started with wire guided second generation missile which miserably failed.

Priority wise what is more important? HELINA, NAMIKA or MPATGM ? One does not have to be a genius to know that. However, DRDO have their own priority.

Ok , even if we go with you, DRDO started demonstrating MPATGM since 2005 and not 2015. It is about to be 2020 now. I take it that they will take another 30 years.

And what have we achieved? A missile propulsion motors and TNT filled tube which is fitted with unguaranteed, unproved and very costly foreign seeker which has proved useless. Foreign maal!!

MAYA MILI NA RAM.

The cost of project so far has been well over $4.5 billions. The cost of missile is well above $50 000 (Wiki). When it is finally declared as successful, the rate of production will be about 100 missiles pa. Indian Army's requirement is abou 85 000 missiles so how many years BDL will to deliver those 85 000.?

Why then DRDO is bent upon failing the Indian Army in battle?

Well understood. That is why govt spends billions on DRDO and other scientific organisation. That is a permanent factor - not an excuse.

Well in 1983 wire guided anti tank missiles are the need of the hour or the achievable new trend.
Those times devolpment is slow. Economic conditions are not favourable. We don't have good foriegn relation to buy technology. Everyone discarding us when then look at our economic crisis.
Every project we started in 80s or 90s had very slow speed.
But this science and technology and we have our share of success and failure. Everyone has in the past everyone will have in future despite of their budget whether it is small or large.
Now conditions are favourable. We have good missiles like agni bharmos aakash astra and so on.
Nag MPATGMS project has launch in 2015.
And performing at par with spike and javlins.
As you know spike failed in rajasthan and javelins rejected 3 times because spike performing better than it.
But we can not change them according to our needs.
But in future we will develop and modify nag according to our need and this capability is a million dollar profit.
