That's unfair comment. The IAF maintenance and human error is also to factored.
You transpose MIG 21 record on all planes and also that plane served well but faulty spare parts gave it that record.

This is an upgraded UPG.... no matter what the reason, should not happen.... IAF needs to pull up its socks

Going by your logic no F22 or B2 should crash.
You buy a Maruti or BMW there will always risk of accident. Unless you can come with concrete example how MIG 29 which has three decades of service is a faulty plane.it is just blanket statement

These were recently upgraded man... last year it was an upgraded Mirage just leaving HAL.... If it was the old Mig 29 in the old config it still fine.... this is embarassing

It's part of the game we make mistake sometimes you pay dearly with loss of pilot life. Now luckily no such thing reporredt., But the premise that western aircraft is the panacea to crashes is unfounded.
Only way not to crash don't fly the plane keep it safe in hangar.

Of course there were a few crashes implying Rafale M of the French Navy. Nobody is perfect.

That's what you get when you rely too much on foreign equipment.

When you build your own jet, you know what is working, should supposed to be working and should not be there on the first place

. IMHO I always admired the French systems, they are built purposefully to a meticulous detail. In fact the Mirage 2000 standard is one of the most beloved systems, it can easily match F16 to this day. No wonder the sortie rate and operational readiness of French Rafael is a benchmark.
