‘India has overtaken its former colonizer’: Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson ‘corrects’ Western media on India advancing past the UK

Chinese making a very true statement. Why didnt any Indian officials say this?
China has occupied half of Mongolia, which is china's former colonizer.

Why are the chinese wolf warriors hiding these days?

It is almost a year now no entertainment from them. It seems they have realized the gravity of the situation and came out of the wet dreams.

Down the lane it will read " India has over taken China" one day. They know it !

CCP spokes person some times reminds me of a stand up comedian, all talk no action !

CCP demonstrated this when they went back from their positions in Ladakh.

India and China descend from two of the greatest civilizations. Our histories and culture is simply unparalleled. I hope they can stop commiting aggression and appeasing Islamists

UK- India Relations

UK and India relations have never been cordial, not in last 75 years, although commercial business continued. UK is an ex colonial power hence it still wants to maintain its pre-eminent position at the head of the table. This was alright with the Congress Party when for 60 years they were in power. Most of its high operatives were either British graduates or were somehow connected to the British interests, hence they were soft on them. The situation changed when BJP came to power. All those British influence in politics, diplomacy and military began to decline. Modi and his cohorts were not anti British and were not their supporters either. They wished Indian brand in everything, not British brand. They began the process of decolonization slowly first by removing British trained officials in every walk of life. Most of Modi’s inner circle boys have no connection to Britain. Then came the flight of financial fugitives to Britain. Even if the British courts said that these should extradited back and face fraud charges, the British government refused to extradite them. Rather they organized anti Indian sentiments in people of Indian origin living in Briton’s (Sikh terrorists, Muslim operatives supported by Pakistan). So much so that a host and Sikh and Muslim politicians were making anti Indian statements of purely an Indian matter of internal agriculture reforms.

India took the lumps for another day. Decolonization became in earnest. At india Gate an anti British statue of Subhash Chander Bose was installed at a place where British monarch stood years back. The British pre-independence building of Parliament House was left alone but a new one was built to house the Parliament sittings. The worst for the British influence - the Indian Army has been asked to abandon British traditions, British names and British process and procedures in the Army are to be abondoned. There is a lot more to come. Everybody in India except Nehru- Gandhi dynasty supports these measures.

The British were holding off a trade deal with India. That did not bother India much. Indian economy as of this year has bypassed the British economy and in five years, it will be 30% bigger than the British.

All of this is not sitting well with the British. If Hindu-Muslim riots happen in British cities, it is all British fault. They are the one using the Sikh and Muslim settled in Briton as a political tool. Now it has recoiled back upon them…… Bad luck Briton, your time is over. India should use these opportunities to make similar statements which the British leaders were making during farmer’s agitation.

This may just be a carrot?? Not that it makes a difference to India either way.

The Chinese don't give a flying you know what about the "great" Indian civilisation. About time, Indians stopped being woolly headed about this.

Don't see what benefit /difference it will be for India? EU fta would be bigger imo
Would be bigger but the EU showed no interest for many years, have now woken up because of the India-UK trade talks. Textile/Garments/Leather exports would be of great benefit, would undercut other countries. Pharma is another promising area. Freer movement of people for large India Tech companies would help substantially. Agricultural exports also has potential to add to the numbers though pesticides etc will be a contentious area.

They probably think current India is the remnant of British Empire in Asia. At least Mao thought that way. Indian Old civilization is long gone thanks to the foreign rule.
British did use Indian soldiers to curb Boxer rebellion back there.
I am fine with the sentiment though. Indians don't exactly give a damn about their culture. We are barbarians for them they are the same to us.

it's the India-EU trade deal she blocked, they were part of EU when she was UK home secretary(2010-2016).
UK Home Ministry intervenes in Trade deal (again).
even though the reason they are giving is visa overstay, how can GoI solve this, it is UK Gov which is giving the visa, and it is the UK nationals who are facilitating the overstay on that tiny island.

Far too many Indians are unaware, and worse don't care much for the cultural heritage of India. Some kind of shaming/calling out, should be done with these people, provided it isn't too aggressive. I have a cousin in India who is married to a Jain woman. When I mentioned a couple of Jain literary works, she was utterly clueless. She was even dumbfounded when I said "Jai Jinendra", the standard Jain salutation. Yet this same lady and I had a friendly argument over the history of the Christmas tree! Nothing wrong in knowing about, and drawing references from, other countries. But also be aware of Indian history and culture. Not knowing or caring should be made despicable, discreditable.

This can be corrected, here's an anecdote from U.S.

The day UK voted for Brexit I was over enjoyed. All these European countries individually aren't that powerful. At the most Germany and France have some weight. UK already has lost most of their industries. But all these countries in the EU acting as one makes them a very powerful block. Whenever any company want to have access to EU market they used to set up their European HQ in Ireland where corporate tax rate is at rock bottom 10% or in some Eastern European country like Poland.

Now with UK out of EU most companies will not touch UK with a barge pole. EU will do everything to undermine UK. They will try every trick in the book to make them a basket case of Europe and an example for other countries in the EU who have fantasies to exit EU in future. Worse UK is a big food importer and even energy importer. They have no bargaining chip other than their consumer market. There will be lot of fissures between Scotland and rest of the country as Scotland voted decisively for staying in the EU if things don't turn out for good in the coming years.

We need to relax with FTA with UK. If those fuckers want to play ball we should tell them to fuck off and move forward with FTA with EU. If we are exporting any raw material to UK then we need to play ball with them as well. There is no need to lose sleep over them not coming to negotiating table for FTA. We need to extract every pound of flesh with them in future as they are isolated and no longer have the cover of EU.
