No now everyone is wishing for Sunak to be PM. It wasn't just Sunak who wanted Boris to go but others. Sunak saw the writing on the wall and went with the direction that the wind was blowing.
Let's not overdo the Sunak as PM bit, there is very little interest for it nor does he have a mandate, even within the Tory party. Liz Truss is doing so badly that Sunak looks good now but the primary reason he didn't win was because the party members blamed him for backstabbing Boris.

The party leadership wanted Boris to go and pressed Sunak to make the move. Boris was one mistake from ruining Britain and of course Liz Truss, Boris' chosen successor completed the job in a spectacular fashion.

Not really, Boris had majority support both within the parliamentary party as well as the party as a whole. Still does.

Sunak is unemployed. The Tories will be annihilated in the next election and pretty much will be history. In hindsight, Sunak made a big mistake. Should have stuck with Boris , maybe the situation would have been better.

From India's pov, Boris Johnson was our best bet. Everyone else, especially if Labour's comes to power, will be a nightmare to deal with.

I suggest you check r/unitedkingdom where every britishers whine everyday regarding the state of England and even some folks are ready to acknowledge another Scottish referendum.

But, when it comes to India you will get see the morally correct white man trying to civilize us. Their thinking of this FTA is basically UK is doing a favor to India but in reality, it is matter of time for UK to act since we are also pushing for EU FTA which will be big headache for UK if passed before their FTA.

And from where they ll get their goods . China !! Total trade in goods and services (exports plus imports) between the UK and China was £93.4 billion in the four quarters to the end of Q1 2022 .

I ll suggest there is no reason to be emotional abt everything happening and focus on long term . Many things recently happening , i suspect is result of anti india uk trade lobby efforts . If india benefits from this trade deal we must ensure this become successful .

Braverman is fired

She resigned. And it is not quitting. This woman will now come back with a vengeance, feeding off the woke nonsense and morphing into an anti-immigration crusader. Liz is going to have a tough challenger in the coming election. It is likely that Rishi Sunak might take a backseat even though he is most qualified to be their PM beside Priti Patel. The British somehow happen to hate both Sunak and Patel as though they are advocating for deporting native Britons.

2023 will see UK elect the woke Labour Party.

Barely anyone supported her during her stint, she had been pretty anti immigrant even then; to an extent she wanted to jeopardize a trade deal. Well... Without any support, I don't think she's coming back anytime soon

I kinda like UK democracy, little unstable but hiring firing takes place in smooth succession. No one is big enough, not even the PM even after wielding considerable power. Bad policy decisions result in quick pink slips. I'd say UK democracy is among the most responsive. 👍
Yeah their politicians seem mature unlike ours
