But those early Sukhois were loaners, as soon as India specific Su-30MKI were manufactured, Russia took the old ones back and resold them (maybe to Algeria)
Correct on the Sukhois.

The IAF had broached this idea towards the end of the UPA government as an immediate measure. It went nowhere because the French asked for the same price as the new ones. I mentioned this to point out that there were options available if there was intent. Unfortunately there has been no intent. This government made even the limited order only to get out of the MMRCA deal and give the French something to not upset them for the cancelation. Subsequently, no other purchase has happened The Modi government decided and I think correctly that we could not afford the large number of Rafales that the IAF wanted and that we should make it up with cheaper aircraft to make up the numbers. That process has gone nowhere yet. We may be faced with a new government wasting more time and the IAF stuck like this.

Its kinda depressing that everyone is tom toming Terroristan narrative. Read a new article by aljazeera claiming new big resolution pics don't even show holes.

Now I am wondering if we attacked their military base.

The response since the bombing would be different if they bombed only trees. Even in their Parliament shame shame was going on :scared2:

Bro, how old are you? Just asking. :)
You shouldn't be so dismissive. The source quoted is generally sound on these matters . If he's suggesting what he is, please assume that he knows more than what he puts out.

36 Rafale for G2G immediate deal. 114 Rafales though backdoor entry via 114 MMRCA 2.0.

Leonardo is banned from new deals after Agustawestland chopper scam. Gripen and Eurofighter use their components in their planes. F 16 rejected after MiG 21 brought it down! :pound::pound::pound:

MiG 35 same as MiG 29 UPG, India buying and refurbishing old airframes. Su 30 MKI to be upgraded into Su 35 BM+ standard. F 18 SH will win 57 carrier aircraft deal if US behaves. Else more MiG 29Ks.

By principle of deduction only Rafale remains! :biggrin2:

Look man, nobody knows how exactly the 'offer' was thought of....if it was feasible at all....in terms of price, timing etc.
There's always this one-off that somebody said something, somebody offered something.....and if it's not done/taken then something terrible was done! That narrative is a lot of BS.
What is to say that taking on non-India specific aircraft for billions of $$$ wouldn't have created a shit storm in the Parliament!
Given endless amount of money, one can put in n number of contingency measures, swap things out etc. But if you have limited budget then one get extremely careful about how it's spent.

Al Jizzya got banned in India for promoting terrorism in Kashmir by Pakistan. Here is our own analyst's view. This guy actually is an ex IA Col. and is good at his job.

Curious case of F16 hit!! Let's put the pieces together.....

- Several eyewitnesses see THREE parachutes in the air almost at the same time. One is Abhinandan; one pilot is said to have drifted towards India, another one came down inside POK itself
- DGISPR and Pakistan's own government news agency states that THREE Indian pilots are captured (this is reported very early on). Two Indian jets are down!
- Several eyewitnesses capturing Abhinandan are heard saying "let's go get the other guy".......not two guys....so they all kinda of knew that the third guy is out-of-reach.
- In DGISPR conference Abhinandan's capture is mentioned. The 'other guy' is supposedly being treated in a hospital. Two Indian jets are down.
- Later in the day DGISPR states that only ONE pilot is in captivity. But insists TWO Indian jets are down.

Possible scenarios:

- The second pilot in hospital is identified as Paki, and his identity hidden; or he died.
- The THIRD pilot is in Indian custody (just like Col. Habib, India chose to keep mum!). Or the third pilot is enjoying Kashmiri hospitality in Indian J&K.
- The third pilot died either on the Indian side or the Paki side.

Questions:

- so much hoopla about Shahzad-ud-din as ONE of the pilots; why no talk about the third pilot at all? Is it because he survived?

see my channel's last 4 videos...all videos suggest that there were more than 1 parachutes...

THERE IS SIMPLY NO MOTIVE/ INCENTIVE FOR INDIA/IAF TO HIDE SUKHOI-30/MIG29/OTHER AIRCRAFT TAKEN DOWN BY PAF

BUT PAF HAS SHIT LOAD OF REASONS TO HIDE THEIR SHIT...

"
what difference does it make to not accept 2nd IAF loss? India can claim that PAF committed graver military strike on IAF gaining more domestic+international support to escalate the matter...further more if that another pilot is KIA+mob lynched along with another pilot or critically injured then its declaration of all out war baby!

both country's media is portraying India as aggressor and warmonger and Pakistan always putting peace proposals, mediation requests, call for deescalation etc.

so India has nothing to gain from hiding sukhoi-30/2nd AC being shot down...

With Improvements in Chinese Avionics
And the same reaching JF 17

We would need more Rafales to defeat the PAF

This whole engagement should speed up
IAF modernisation

As I keep saying INDIA is alone in this world, we have to fight our own battles. Can’t expect anyone to help us when required...
