Mate lots of new systems have been inducted, war fighting techniques have been developed, scenarios evolved. So it might be the case that old KPIs do not hold any relevance anymore. So even veterans are not always sure what is happening.

But veterans should have some contacts on he inside. Get the general feel of the situation. You know that there has been news that the Chinese has been intruding on our eastern border and nobody is doing anything. Plus both the chinks and Pakistanis were doing air exercises in skardu.
There was also the case of ghafoora saying something about Bajwa's extension as "hope it pays off". So something is definitely cooking

Short answer: old systems taken into consideration we cannot, with new they don't know.

We defeated the same army in the past with that old systems if they have new systems so do we. If we cannot defeat Pakistan a failed state with 1/10th of our economy ,then theres nothing we can do

The reason why they are becoming desperate is India hit the Pakistani army where is hurts them really bad.

Remember Bajwa is close to China as well, the Chinese were happy with his extension.
We should at all cost eliminate Chinese possibility of opening another front

China if it wants to get into military confrontation it should be about how to taking Taiwan back more than helping paki retain the captured land of indian territory in J&k . Agreed CPEC is great investment for them and they won't let it go so easily . But is Pakistan worth more than Taiwan for China ?

Thats why i said there should think tanks on both sides , we view them with suspicions and they view us.
History proves that Indian and Chinese civilizations were never enemies ,not even rivals but had close relations with each other.
Think about next 20-30 years when we will be the target of the west. We need to brige these differences quickly if we have to survive the onslaught from the west.
Look there's not even a single fault line or dispute amongst the west otoh there are differences in almost whole of the remaining world.
India-pak ,Ind-China , china- japan/korea/Vietnam , korean N/S , whole middle east , whole Africa ,whole South America , whole central America

Just go to his twitter timeline, he regularly keeps praising chinki fauj and says India wont last few days in front of the chinks. He also writes op-eds on chinki websites.

He seems very bitter about the Indian Army and India in general. Just remember, armed forces like any other organisation have good performers and poor performers. Don't just assume that every veteran is an authority on something. I have come across several who are very unworthy of the respect they get by default.

We defeated them, true but our objective at that time was not to occupy but to defend ourselves at best,

To be honest, there is no way we can launch an offensive on Pakistan with objective of occupying it.
BUT I do believe we are very well equipped to take strategic positions.

On Other hand, Even with Pak and China combined, they won't be to win an offensive war against us.

Sab naatak. Pak army is trying to put up a narrative that they're unable to contain their _unarmed_ civilians from heading to the LoC in an attempt to cross it.

The same people will show up on the LoC like a zombie horde. It's a classic human wave tactic in which you're toying with the enemy's morality by approaching unarmed.

This is a great opportunity for Indian army to prove that western morality isn't the be-all and end-all of morality. Let those LMGs and mortars loose, and kill the zombie horde within their side of the LoC.

Any nation prioritises its sovereignty above the human rights of those trying to violate it.

The only way Pakistan can now prevent a complete collapse of its economy leading to a breakdown of law and order across the country, is by creating a necessity - war with India. It's still to be seen what happens to the 'Khalilzad deal with Taliban'. Pompeo refused to sign it.....kinda of authorizing Khalilzad himself to sign it.

In a way....all this is in tacit realization that Taliban won't live up to its end of the deal. In which case, high level dignitaries like the President & Sec.State won't be embarrassed enough that it might force retaliatory actions.
