So How do we reach Skardu.

There is no proper motorable road leading upto Skardu.
We will need masisve amount of Helicopter's to keep the supply up, which might not be feasible in the first place..

There is a route from Kargil to Skardu, not very fine but for military convoy it does the job. Because Pakistanis get logistic support from Skardu via this route for their FOP near Kargil.

Here is some of the things I have been able to gather

The indian strategy is very clear
They want haji pir pass. This blocks major infiltration routes.
So if pakistan initiates any form of action, one can expect a slow and steady thrust into that area. It would be one that does not draw attention, yet slowly achieves the objective.
So conflict or not, haji pir will be taken before next year.

India is ready to face paki backlash. If it comes in the form of a big attack, then bets are off.. else slow salami slicing into pok

That is the next phase

As far as internal security is concerned, the crpf etc, will continue to remain at elevated levels in the valley. This deployment wont change anytime soon.
Kashmiris should be willing to accept a lot of private investment and new people coming in and this would be beneficial to them, however violence will just not be tolerated.

Lastly KM politicians will busy defending themselves in the corruption cases that will get registered once the books get opened
