IAF inventory already has heavy weight fighter that to 270 in numbers which will serve till 2040+ and IAF is not interested in another aircraft in same category. IAF need single Engine fighters in light weight and mid weight category. IAF will never go American fighter for front line operations which can be sanctioned anytime.

The Rafale for the IAF is better, solely due to the fact that we will atleast know that we can use it wherever we want, whenever we want, whereas with the US, there will be US Military personnel deployed at your critical airbases to "monitor" your air activity using those planes, you can't use planes when Uncle Sam says so, and if you piss them off in ANY way(hooman rights or whatever those fucks believe in), they will just sanction you, prevent you from using your fighters, while pocketing all dat sweet, sweet money.

How to know if the French are not monitoring us? Just like cars all modern aircraft (and other machines) have a health and usage monitoring system. Do not forget that the NSG was created mostly at the behest of France in 1975 in response to Smiling Buddha to keep us out of the nuke club.

No need to be stuck in 1971. There is half a century between then & now! US was monitoring Paki eff solahs also on 27 Feb 19. What did they do about it? Not only did Pakis use the plane in every which way they wanted- Uncle Sam even refused to confirm downing of a falcon.

Ultimately if we can ensure our relevance in the American world order (which is true today & far into future unless China dies an unnatural death)- no problem buying American. Only look at national interest and who gives the best deal/weapon system.

I never seen US Personal in Pakistan, Iran, Venezuela or even Turkey were they operate American fighters. How can Uncle Sam stop India from using fighters India bought with its own money? Does US have automatic kill switch that stop all American fighters from been used if so how are Former US allies still keep flying there planes? There multiple countries around the world under US sanctions under multitude of reason but none of them have any problems using there US made weapons including fighter aircraft. Do you believe US will actually sanction India who is a critical part of there Plan in Asia in countering China and also a vital member in there Quad Alliance. I don’t think so especially after buying US equipment and acting like India is good friend of US.
