South Korea is not the one to be blamed here, South Korea has its own insecurities as it is too close to China and South Korea will be reduced to ashes if it goes in a conflict involving China.

IAF inventory already has heavy weight fighter that to 270 in numbers which will serve till 2040+ and IAF is not interested in another aircraft in same category. IAF need single Engine fighters in light weight and mid weight category. IAF will never go American fighter for front line operations which can be sanctioned anytime.
Peace is only barked by them when they are planning for a fidayeen attack.
