Biden+covid+LAC have made this option unlikely.

Negative, have to wait another 4 years only if Mike Pompeo elected as President of US and until then our leadership (both political & military) shud learn to show some spine and speed up the critical defence procurement. It's a bit of a complex situation with China-Afg relations at this point. Any future resistance against the Talibs, which may include breakway factions, revived Northern Alliance fighters, or present Afghan Govt. loyalists, will definitely be against the Chinese, seeing them as a foreign power intent on exploiting Afghanistan for its own purposes, while the Talibs will have their own POV on China. Their commander advancing towards Badakshan, a border area between Afg and China is a Uighur. It must also be considered that the Talib will need monetary support, which they might obtain from mineral exploitation by China, which might explain the above statement by them about non-interference in Chinese internal matters. However, reports and studies suggest mineral exploitation in Afg may take decades from now.

I'm wondering what strategic advantage does Afghan have wrt India. As we dont share direct border with Afghan why is our concern growing. We don't have a plan to capture POK but our worries of taliban rule in Afghan is senseless. We can still reach central Asia through Iran/Turkmenistan. Even US decided to withdraw as it is not strategic asset. Even China will be least care due to hostile/unpredictable environment. We have to be proactive on LOC and frequent preemptive strikes has to continue

I don't see why they should fund insurgency they make no difference and irrelevant anyways. They know the only way to break India is to destroy it's armed forces entirely and it can only be achieved in an all out war.. Pakistan asked for ceasefire at LOC to concentrate on its border with Afghanistan.

With Taliban capturing Afghanistan, its hard to foretell if future plans of India will succeed or not.

I don’t get the dhoti shivering either with the situation in Afghanistan. The US sitting in Afghanistan while being dependent on Pakistan for logistics etc. was the biggest hurdle in taking any large scale action against Pak on LoC. A lot of options are unlocked now, of course we will be able to exploit the situation only if we take pro active steps. And all the triggers for taking action are in place - attack on military installation, ceasefire violation, plus uptick in terror incidents including target killing of off-duty soldiers/police.
