Right now, cheering on culling some terror rats and the occassional cross border strike whenever something big happens is not good enough.

It only shows that we are willing to be happy with a ceasefire and the status quo while we take unequal losses in minor skirmishes with terrorists.

Yup. Killing them in their ones and twos at the border or in CI/CT ops is like trying to swat a cockroach with a chappal after you see it scurry across the floor of your home, you may manage to squash it and get a lot of satisfaction from looking at its crushed corpse, but the fact is that for every roach you manage to kill there are 10-100 you will not even see and that number keeps growing. If you want to exterminate the menace then you will have to change your strategy. We have been following the same failed strategy for more than 3 decades with minor changes depending on situation or who is in power. IMO its just not sustainable, but i'm still waiting to see if and when we break out of this cycle.

1. If the army is defeated completely and a full invasion happens where one entity occupy fully the other. I am not refering to some tactical defeats in limited conflicts but an all out war scenario.
