Part 2 of the ongoing series on our preparedness across the Himalayan Frontier with Gen Manoj Pande being interviewed for this episode.

Part 3 of the ongoing series on our infrastructure program across the Himalayan Frontier with a focus on the Nimmu Padum Darcha ( NPD) Road due to provide all weather connectivity to Leh from Manali via the nearly 10 km long Atal tunnel - the highest tunnel built above 10,000 ft & a world record , extensively covered in this particular documentary.

Do watch this , it's one of those documentaries on a sensitive subject which gets produced rarely.

Current mess in Manipur started after AFSPA was removed and amplified by Civil War in Myanmar.

Lets see what happens in J&K.
the current mess in Manipur is long standing set of problems,
ethnicity, religion, open borders and drug business form host of issues that led to this.

GoI is doing a big mistake. A temporary lull in insurgency doesn't signify peace.

J&K must demonstrate normalcy for at least a decade & J&K police must demonstrate their ability to handle insurgency & CI ops deep into jungles & mountains which are currently only carried out by PARA SFs.

Unlike Manipur where tensions are mainly between ethnic groups, J&K its against the state, plus Pakistan actively assisting in the secessionist movements, we will have very less time to react.

AFSPA was the iron fist that was holding all the factors that you have mentioned in your post.

These factors will always remain.
AFSPA was like a band aid holding a stab wound.
The drug cultivation and cross border drug trade was flourishing under AFSPA.

The only thing it was maintain status quo.

We shouldn't be complacent and be thinking that current ethnic mess in Manipur is not foreign assisted.

Myanmar fled Kuki-zo wants their seperate state carved out of Manipur. That's their audacity.

Border states will always have to have a AFSPA or similar act like it in certain pockets all the time.

The border state govts simply are not capable to handle the stuff when shit will hit the fan.
