It's Operation Gibraltar redux... only difference is that it's in jammu & not kashmir like 65... so instead of persuading civilians(to join pakistan) they will be massacred(to force them to leave)... the religion of the target population making all the difference between the choices offered.

They have exploited a lot of loopholes that crept up along with the aman ka tamasha the gvt was trying to portray. Shit went for a toss once the rubber hit the ground. Many dhotis have shivered and hastily passing orders to the men on ground. God Bless

Yes. The air's changed after they got so close to Himachal through Jammu. They will exploit this newfound SOP (whatever this was) to the fullest while the security forces figure it out and develop counters.
Less manpower in Chenab valley, the unforgiving terrain adding to the flavour. From my peresonal observation they aren't here to just target security forces; They are here to ethnic cleanse the H population of Bhaderwah, Doda and Kishtwar. Gov should consider upgrading of the VDGs with automatic rifles and appointing proper Distt SP/SSP with balls, a large chunk of this problem can be deterred without the army calling it's troops deployed in Forwd Areas.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of several terror incidents there, including an attack on a bus ferrying pilgrims, sources said.

He called a high-level meeting on June 16, to be attended by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, top officials of the Army, CRPF and others to review the prevailing situation in the Union Territory and steps taken to check terror incidents.

During Sunday’s meeting, the home minister will also take stock of the preparedness for the annual Amarnath Yatra which will begin on June 29,

i dont think anything "big" will happen , bus attack was the big one , they started off with that . then the attack on police/army post .

pakistan is carefully keeping their attacks below our response threshold . will stay that way the rest of year .

some interesting stats here

Currently, there are 70 battalions (about 70,000) of central paramilitary forces deployed in Jammu and Kashmir

At the entire 3,323-km-long land border with Pakistan, there are currently 675 border outposts (BOPs), while work on 31 more BOPs is expected to be completed by June 2025 and alternative sites are being explored for 30 more such posts. Overall, the forces will have 736 BOPs at the western border. The government has also sanctioned a 2097.646 km fence, out of which 2064.666 km has been completed and the work at the remaining 32.98 km is in progress.

Data accessed by HT suggests that overall infiltration has significantly dropped in J&K since 2017, from 419 attempts (136 net infiltrations) to 53 attempts (14 net infiltrations) in 2022 and almost negligible last year.

“There is also round-the-clock surveillance and patrolling on the border and establishment of observation posts, increase in number of BSF personnel in sensitive areas, construction of border fencing and floodlighting, and use of advance technological equipment like handheld thermal imager (HHTI), night vision device (NVD), twin telescope, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Subsequently, intelligence setup is regularly upgraded,

the fence on the rajasthan border can be seen from space

by 2030 entire border will be visible to aliens in another galaxy

Regardless we must strike across the LoC using our SFs in tit for tat reprisals. They target 1 of our civilian , we ought to slit the throats of 2 of theirs. On that basic principle there ought to be no compromise. Let there be no publicity of it .

The PA will in any case not be too bothered but our message must go across. Passivity after such a big outrage - 3 to 4 consecutive incidents in the span of as many days can't be allowed & these incidents mustn't go unanswered.

This is a very sloppy job by Porkis, as if these pigs were ordered to raise a shitstorm by someone. The China theory fits perfectly.

Paks are trying old tactics of testing the Indian civilian Govt responses.

Their assumption is that Modi Govt is weak this time and may find it harder to respond in kind like earlier

Most likely we may hear more unknown gunmen shooting in Pak or terror escalation with targets on military bases like Pulwama

Killing their civilians is pointless, they have no shortage of them

Terror group leaders are better targets as it is comparably harder to replace them.

The latter's already happening even as we speak. The former doesn't bother the PA but sustained action from our side mobilises the people there to put pressure on the PA to desist from such acts failing which they refuse to co operate with the PA.

Once again this has little effect on the PA but just as they aren't sparing any opportunity to target our fault lines , we mustn't be slack in targeting theirs either. Messaging in such cases is extremely important if you want to be taken seriously.

Neither is killing their civilians a detterent, nor is killing their clown terrorist leader puppets who can be replaced a dime a dozen from their madrassah ecosystem. Only inflicting significant casualties on their officer ranks will achieve anything. That requires either direct LOC confrontation, or in the KPK and Balochistan front. At this point, IA, JKP and GOI need to really look into fixing the local situation regarding OGW's and intel, as well as bolstering troops in Jammu. It's absolutely unacceptable that terrorists are running rampant in a Hindu majority area, with the gall to try and enter people's homes they way they did with muslims in Kashmir.

We've got fewer medium artillery pieces and that too, of inferior quality (other than the odd 100 K9s) than the Pakistanis, just sayin'.
Indian Army Gernail during Service: Avoid war at any cost, because everyone knows IA equipment shortfalls..

Indian Army Gernail after Retirement: Thrash Pakistan Army on Indian TV channels for breakfast and then again for lunch..

Thank God we have 1.8 lakh manpower shortfall, with Modi planning to reduce another 100k of these clowns.
