 u guys dont like war ? , nice.

not talking about war , but another kailash style grab , which *may* escalate to war.

chinese will continue to build more roads , more airfields , more barracks , more heliports .

pakistan will not forever stay a beggar nation ,

once the balance shifts too far , China will try another intrusion.

IMHO best time to take action is this year. either this or best to simply give up.

of course there is always plan B , keeping begging and hope chinese will give in.

This is not true. Currently, our armed forces sport very outdated equipment, which might be okay for fighting Pakistan but not China.

For example, a large part of our airforce is still outdated Mig-21s, not to mention our dwindling squadron strength. The addition of more LCA/Rafale will offset that balance a little.
Our army is still under-equipped and ill-prepared. Our T-72s are hopelessly outdated against Chinese tanks, whereas BMPs are tin cans. We need to orient our forces to a high-mobility mechanized infantry. Even our basic squad-level weapons are outdated.

One positive thing about this is, our Navy has gone indigenous which means in the future when we will have more money to spare, we too, could churn out ships at the rate which China is making them currently.
With the pandemic going on, how and when our economy grows at a good rate is very hard to predict. And even if we reach a good economy, with <2% spending not sure if we will even get close to PLAN. Neither do we have anywhere near military shipbuilding yards as compared to China, and there seems to be a incline of MOD/GOI/IN towards state shipyards.

This time begging will not help as China is determined to captured Arunachan and Ladakh, it has come to their national pride now. If India don't starts reverse Salami slicing they will never get the message, till then good luck with these begging also known as dialogue with the aggressors

we should not try what chinese are doing............building such a large navy is very expensive to build and maintain...........the chinese are thinking that by building the largest navy in the world they will become a super power...they have not done any proper cost benefit analysis

we have a decent choke point at mallacca , it's good that andaman and nicobar is being turned into a fortress

Pipavav shipyard, L&T shipyard we have enough private shipyards which can augment it's capacity for modular shipbuilding if given order from Navy. We are giving order to GRSE for Coast guard patrol ships, there are enough small shipyards like Titagarh who can make small coast guard ships. GRSE should only focus on Frigate and Destroyer and Atni Submarine ships. We have enough shipyard to make ships as fast as China but we don't have budget like Chinese. Chinese spending 5 times more money so obviously they will launch 5 destroyer in a single year

The Mallacca choke point can be relied upon only so much to provide a natural barrier against the PLAN.

What if China starts creating carrier group bases in small nations it can buy out/bully? What if a PLAN-PN base comes up in Karachi, Iran or elsewhere in Africa, maybe close to the Suez Canal?

Nobody builds a big ass Navy like China's to berth them in their harbor and let them rust. They have global ambitions and they will intimidate and try to expand as much as they can without fighting a real war.

Their bluff was called off by us but our means are limited to challenge them beyond IOR. Though we have diplomatic levers across the globe and the Indian diaspora is quite influential but there is no alternative yet to shift the global supply chain from China to some other country.

So yes, we must grin and continue eating momo's and pray we take some baby steps in countering China.

With an unlikely party Philippines on the verge of buying Brahmos.. lets see how it goes and pray it doesn't end up in Chinese hands.

Seems like we won't be getting a statement from either side regarding 14th round of dialog. Last time it erupted into a war of words so probably either side is waiting for a statement from the other.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Absorb as in, probably won't make them Chinese citizens, but more like how India is keeping Bhutan. Close-binding of economies, like the adoption of Yuan as Pakistani currency, supplying consumer products to Pakistani markets, outsourcing cheap and hazardous work to Pakistan, but most probably using Pakistani military as its own personal mercenary.
china is unlikely to merge pakistan into it's economy , since IMF and other nations will not allow it to happen .........despite chinese influence pakistan is being controlled by the IMF............pakistan also is a very violent place trying to control it is just a fever dream

china also has a huge population........to provide them with jobs and to keep money flowing through their own economy the chinese only employ their own people...........even in CPEC pakis were not employed properly

pak military can only act as a mercenary against india.......if the paks try to interfere in another nation's matters , their oil can be stopped by arabs or us...and chinese can't do anything since they are also net importers

perhaps by that time we will be putting our cbgs in SCS from time to time, we have already started doing passes in SCS now.
Absolute necessity.
Need to encircle China with Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Phillipines and Indonesia.

Tho I believe we can't trust the Mongoloid nations for a long time. Now I came out as racist and narrow minded but hear me first. No matter how friendly we get with Eastern nation It wouldn't change the fact that we do not have much common with them in terms of race, religion and culture, there will come a time when the mongoloid nation will realise they are shedding blood of brothers of the same race.

Until than we need to sign a logistics, berthing right pacts with Eastern nations.

for all that to happen the chinese need a booming economy which is not happening like typical commies they don't understand economies........

the existing chinese carriers are not nuclear powered unlike US , which will affect their range....

the pakis and iranians are not that stupid that they will let a foreign military build a massive naval base inside them , even if they do not only the other regional countries will protest but the cost of maintaning such a large fleet akin to US is huge

you can payoff someone to a limit , national integrity and pride plays a big role in politics......recent example of maldives & nepal has shown despite chinese money the pro-chinese govt collapsed.......in africa countries like kenya , zambia , gambia are waking up and are not co-operating with the chinese properly

Meanwhile, Pakistan will probably suffer hyperinflation and total economic collapse and will be absorbed by China as a vassal state.
Hard so day. Pakistanis are more Western than people like to believe. Even after such humiliating conditions, they have not left the IMF program, their Army Chief still courts US Senators on their trip to Pakistan, and all the elite have all the properties in the West only. China, too, has not really shown any severe interest in developing/ keeping Pakistan alive away from the Western influence. All CPEC loans and investments are profitable accounts in themselves, Chongs don't need some long-term strategy to make it viable for them. Also, despite the repeated calls from Porks, they haven't doled out any relief package for them. What 240 million inbreds think (or, are made to think by the usual West bashing Mulla-Politician nexus) is immaterial to the decisions Pakistan will make, and they'll never jump on the Chinese ship completely- simply because the softy on the American ship has a bigger and better portion for the jernails. Chongs will start hanging these jernails and anchors the day they dared to speak against them in public after eating their money, something they do with the West.
