No thats not the reason MKU was a stop gap order places by the army while they decide to buy their ak-47 bullet proof helmets.

MKU helmets have failed to provide adequate protection against AK round thats why army has placed a new tender for new modern helmets with built in comms and ability to place additional addons.

MKU is offering helmets in different category and protection it was fault of army that they didn't did proper trials before placing order.

Isn't modern helmets designed to stop sharpnels not bullets, if you get a direct hit on helmet you would be knockdown either way with a concussion

What they failed ?

Its not the fault of the helmet i feel mostly that they have llA protection level which can stop the bullet of a handgun at close range.

While ak is a complete different beast for that we need level lll protection so an order of new helmets will be placed.
