There is no perfect system created by humans but other than some western flavor to it thats annoying, it does a decent job in picking good officers out of which some turn into brilliant officers going thru various academies.

Brilliance is not suited to the leaders of the herd,,,, what is required from a leader of pack is to look after the pack and guide them in their task completion.. under extreme danger and trying circumstances..

Individual brilliance is required of a Scientist, a professor, an entrepreneur, an investor, a drug peddler, Dawood Ibrahim and a RAW Operative, a businessman, Mehul Chokasi and Neerav Modi.. or of Chanda Kochar...

Indians are good at individual brilliance but very poor pack leaders...

The Tibetans are too small in number. They cannot fight the Hans on their own.

I'd rather they make peace with the Hans for now or face annihilation.

Only way out is to defeat the PLA in an all out war and redefine their borders by liberating Tibet.

They faced the brunt of Han Chinese during Beijing Olympics by doing our bidding. I wonder sometimes if 26/11 was actually a retaliation by the Chinese.

Agreed, A brilliant officer does those things exceptionally well in difficult scenarios vs an avg good officer. Not all generals are equal, they can be but most things lead to a bell curve
