Although Nepal is ranting like mad.. its words are yet to translate into actions that cause real harm to India.. India believes in giving a long rope, i guess..
It’s not Nepal that is ranting like mad, it’s the Nepali communists who are ranting like mad. it’s better lay the blame where it lies.

Previous wars were quick as no holding of territory was involved.
This one is about territory and there will be a series of attacks and counter attacks.
Previous wars weren't quick.

And if the conflict goes the way you're saying, it'll never really boil over, it'll be a slow boiler - sort of like Israel and Egypt's "War of Attrition" - which in reality was mainly a series of small skirmishes within a particular period of time. In that case, sure, that type of low level "conflict" can drag on a very long time.

But eventually, either the two sides will settle, or things may start to approach an escalatory level which draws in the international community to put an end to the conflict.

Errrrrr...actually Nepal has become anti india.
The change in the Nepalise map was supported unanimously and it was initially proposed by Nepali Congress which is in opposition.
Nepali communist party was initially pro India but after looking at Nepali sentiments they have now singing the same anti india tune
Wake up sirjee ...Nepal is long gone and our diplomats are clueless on what went wrong and they don't even know how to course correct.
We have a long history of waking up only when disaster strikes..

You'll be surprised to see their infrastructure building capability.
They are quite used to absolute impossible civil engineering tasks. It wouldn't be much of a problem for them to construct stuff in Tibet if they really wanted to open a front towards India for decades.
Eg. Chengdu Lhasa railway.
Absolutely true. Although not sure about there quality, but they have the ability to better us at this part anyday.

Ah someone here had posted a link on this topic a few hours back the Chinese were trying to understand what makes Gurkha's join Indian army. Their study group was to learn about the socio-economic factors.

Worrying as in script provided by chinese and being towed by their commie slaves,
This first of all us is false and even if true how much soldiers are chinese going to hire and train and equip to make a difference in their supposed weakened mountain warfare capability? A few dozen or a few hundred or maybe a few thousand?

there are many other emergencies - Financial, State, Armed Aggression/ Terrorism, Internal Rebellion, etc. In those cases, Art. 359 can't be used to remove Arts. 20 and 21. For National Emergency, Art. 359 is absolute.
Not easy to do proclamation of emergency. After 1 month of prolcamation, A resolution must be passed by either House of Parliament only by a majority of the total membership of that House and by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the Members of that House present and voting.

Modi dont have numbers in RS as of now. But after November he, NDA, will have Majority in Rajya sabha (122 seats). I am assuming nothing will move till then.
LOK sabha no problem
RS have to wait till Nov this year.
