We don't depend upon rafale right now. It will take some good 2 to 3 years before Rafale are fully integrated into IAF war strategy. Flankers are still our MVP with Jaguars as support.

Iaf needs to induct mk1 and mk1a in large no even if they have to pay some extra money to roll out planes quickly.

Yes he makes sense, he may sometimes maybe OTT but when it comes to military strategies he is more often than not spot on. He was the one of the first who openly said on TV that China has arrived with their mechanized infantry near Depsang. He knows a thing or two about mountain warfare.

Well, the DSDBO road was constructed with the full knowledge that it runs pretty close to the LAC over substantial distances in ladakh. Army / GOI would also be aware of the fact that any PLA mechanized formation deployment close to the LAC ( which can happen often during tense standoffs), will endanger various sections of the DSDBO road.. So, maybe there are countermeasures.. Our veterans in the forum might shed some light here.

Use of this phrase doesn't as much signify the ego dent but a way of justifying the actions which the world may deem expansionary.

Its chinese way of saying, 'We were abused for a century by foreign powers, so now we don't have the moral obligation of going by the rules anymore and no one has the moral capacity to cite moral ethics to us'.

Rather than putting themselves down with the humiliation, it provides a conduit to lie, cheat, deceit and do everything to get the results.

If the Chinese faced a century if humiliation, us Indians faced two centuries of humiliation under British rule. We are not going around the world crying about it now.
