Japan, Swadeshi Jagran Manch and BCCI: Why Modi’s China headache just got bigger this week
From Japan’s demands to Jaishankar’s comment on China, it is clear why India continues to choose ‘strategic autonomy’, the 21st-century version of ‘non-alignment’.

I'd say Chinese have also decreased their PLA infantry recently & Indian army at present is largest standing army in the world. More soldiers will drain more out of defence budgets coz of salaries so it is a disadvantage. I'd still say we have enough. Better we should make 2 year light military training compulsory for boys starting from high schools especially in those regions where Indian army recruitment is high (regiment wise) Israeli tactic but since we live in a hostile neighbourhood it seems plausible.
The concept of draft is beautiful. It increases the size of available military manpower without increasing the expenses too much.

A soldier, given good gear, is a potent tool better than any machine. Never under-estimate a soldier.

The increased mechanization is not helpful as most of our borders are mountains and jungles where it is difficult to employ tanks.

So CCP’s new plan to keep India engaged in territorial disputes with its neighbours?

Misdirection & keeping opponents distracted seems to be the central theme of many of CCP’s plans, meanwhile they go about with their expansions in all domains.

Solution is not give too much importance to the distractions created by CCP, and continue to focus of CCP. Or at the least, majority of resources should be focused on CCP.

Was having a random chat with a family friend who owns a small, multibrand mobile phones & accessories outlet.

Said we have not ordered a single new Chinese phone from the distributors of big Chinese brands since July beginning. Are being offered margins as high as 30% and credit line but majority customers show up at the shop and say 'Show me a phone that's not Chinese owned or manufactured'.
Why should we stock Chinese brands? The Govt. could ban them any moment. Besides our dignity, self respect and sacrifice of our soldiers is far greater and more precious than the margin money we make.
We will find other ways of making up for the lost income.

The online sales may still be strong for Chinese mobiles but the offline segment has definitely seen a slowdown in some big cities.

Best time for Govt. and Babu's to cash in and push for domestic manufacturing that will translate to true Atmanirbhar Bharat.

This article is actually pretty good and gives a great insight into why India cannot jump into the US bandwagon as many people want here.

The best course is for us to first go self sustainable and then forge alliances based on our liking.

Eye on China, India looks to increase barriers on imports from Asia
In hindsight, must give kudos modi govt for smelling the trap in Nov 2019. imagine being in RCEP, many of the current trade retaliations would not have been possible. interestingly none of the "foreign policy" scholars /experts seems to have connected these dots.

Its misleading in not contradicting Sun Weidong quotes... Most motorcycle component parts of India are manufactured in India.. 85 percent of imported parts are imported from China, and not 85 percent of all motorcycle parts are of chinese origin. Similarly, 70 percent of imported API are from China, and not 70 percent of all API used in the manufacture of Indian medicines.. India manufactures much of its API requirement, and is also a major API exporter.. Yes, there is dependence, but not to the extent that the article mentions.. Instead of perpetuating chinese psy ops, these dumb fu*ks better do some research..

So , Pakistan has once again obeyed their Chinese masters. They have gifted Ladakh to China.
Why did they include Junagarh of Gujarat?

Their real motives revealed 7 decades after independence. And Aman ki Tamasha gang still believe they aren't our mortal enemies. They are an existential threat, a carcinogen in our Aorta, which ideally should be ripped off.
Chutiyas declared their intent finally, more than 'Undefined Frontier' in Ladakh must say Junagadh is what cracked me up.
They made an unpardonable mistake claiming land of Patel and Modi(and ancestral home of Ambanis). Wonder what Motabhai would be thinking looking at this map, now that he is locked at home in isolation.
Bad days for inbred bakis.

Countries and the animals they are identified with plays a big part in how the nation thinks like..

China-Dragon...Imaginary threat and superiority!

India-Elephant...Slow to react but once the momentum builds unstoppable.

USA-Eagle...Higher reach and range.

France-Rooster...Looks calm and not threatening but is very agressive when provoked.

Pakistan-Goat..Goat fuckers!

Hahaha

lmao I think they themselves don't know where the boundary is. Half Ladakh is kept. Aksai Chin is under China so its understandable. DBO, Demchok, Chumar has been shown in China maybe under the orders of Chinese masters. Also gives us an idea what China actually wants.
