if we delay taking them on now, we might loose this advantage as well.
Ultimately mountaineering is a skillset, spend enough time and money people are bound to acquire it over time.

CCP absorbed achieved adopted tech and business practices in other fields much faster than it took the west to create them, making an assumption that PLA will not acquire proficiency in mountaineering will be a very very bad move on our part.
Without permanently commissioned soldier it will be hard to do

By the time they learn it their slave on the western border will be destroyed.

With CCP, can’t view these things in short term.

in next 5-10 years, it’s not a big deal for them to give incentives and retain 20-30 thousand troops on a permanent commision, for specialising in mountain warfare.

remember how they created an entire ecosystem just to get gold medals in olympics, they are recruiting children at ages 5-6 for getting gold medals.

In trying to show off the hardships the PLA endures in the Himalayas.. these propaganda videos end up showing the PLA as incompetent.. Change the CCP Propaganda video honchos asap.. Maybe recruit some ISPR Dudes. They would certainly make better videos..

80,000 Ordnance Factories staff will go on strike from October 12 to protest an effort seeking to make them more accountable. via Shiv Aroor. With the Ladakh standoff entering its 6th month, the strike couldn’t happen at a worse time.

All the more reason to privatise it, not just corporatise.

This is to signal that if you try to interfere in our internal politics we can do the same with you.
This Isn't. Hongkongers render it as a democracy vs communism protest and that's why now have started bringing Indian flags after US ones.

India neither gains anything from it nor its conflict with China is about communism and democracy.

I got the opportunity to visit an OFB facility for an internship 2 years ago and I was shocked when I observed their work culture. Basically they do nothing. 8AM shift starts. 10AM refreshment break for 30 minutes, which obviously stretches to an hour. 12PM lunch break for an hour. Then up to 4PM, when shift ends, play cards, gossips, etc. Out of the 200-300 workers who I was able to observe only 2 were there who I felt were sincerely working and that they have every bit of knowledge regarding their work, even more than there so called 'superiors'.
The first step to a sound and rapidly developing MIC is decentralizing and corporatizing the industry. When one is accountable for their work only then can they work sincerely.
