At least 1 Chinese soldier is killed every day due to bad weather.

Casualty evacuation of PLA troops through helicopters and stretchers is seen on a daily basis. On average, one PLA soldier succumbs to altitude and temperature related ailments every day. Morale and motivation at the posts has dipped below freezing point.

The lack of combat experience across the entire PLA is so glaring that commanders and their political masters did not realize surviving in heights greater than 12,000 feet is totally different from equipping soldiers for operations at normal altitudes of up to 9,000 feet.

There was a Napoleonic mindset trying to eke out a quick victory before winter sets in. Like Napoleon, this has become a logistical nightmare. Having misread the logistics requirements, Chinese garment manufacturers produced clothing that can at best be used at 9,000 feet.

) The PLA troops deployed in Ladakh are facing extreme shortage of specialized cold climate clothing and have been forced to go for emergency procurements. This is the same PLA which was showing off its insular cabins and multipurpose jackets and pants just a few weeks ago

how so? Even today nobody is able to pinpoint the intent behind Chinese actions.

without knowing adversaries intent, counter attack may not be successful.
How does it matter?

If someone illegally barges into your home and occupies a room in it simply because he "perceives" it as part of his home, what would your reaction be? Would you perform psychoanalysis of his behavior to understand the intent behind his actions or forcefully evict him and deal with the consequences later? At the very least, one should show the testicular fortitude to admit that there is an intruder at home and not pull a "koi nahi ghussa".

Hypothetical as it maybe, but do you think CCP would even dream about salami slicing its northern neighbor, Putin's Siberia? For all its faults, Russians will not putter around when it comes to protecting their motherland and will rip Xi a new one.

if some(one) barged into your house, perhaps no pschyoanalysis, but when 30000 troops are diverted outside your house, you surely have to wonder why did they spend so much money to send their troops.
Did they come :
1) to intimidate
2) to defend
3) to attack
4) to stay
5) to occupy more land
6) to create leverage on something else altogether
7) to send a message
8) to start a global campaign where India is first stop.

etc etc..

If they have come for 8) and you think it is 1) , then your strategy will fail.

This scenario already happened with Russia-China in 60’s I think, that’s how China got Russian tank technology.

We can agree to disagree here. But regardless of the motive (1) or (8), if there is a show of force and even if there is a price for India to pay, CCP will get thumped badly in the mountains which will put the fear of God in those communists. Not to mention the massive deflation of Han ego/honor/reputation.

The PLA of the 60s were hardcore veterans of the Korean war. The PLA cucks of today are not even in the same league.

China claims to want a multipolar world but what it wants is a unipolar Asia in which it is the sole power. But its a race against time . China’s huge population is aging fastest due to falling birth rates and rising life expectancy. Isnt chainese economical growth is based on labour intensive manufacturing .The drop in labor force, increases labor costs, makes goods less competitive. China will get old before it gets rich. Beyond 2030, China’s economic growth faces a cap, when the overall dependency ratio starts spiking. If China must be a superpower, it must get rich before it becomes old and decline sets in.

Thanks to kungfu virus , China is isolated and an isolated China is in a two-front situation with its biggest competitors. Pla **** is negotiating with the Indian Army after the ass whoop it received at Galwan. Substantial chainese forces will be tied down till the previously existing state of affairs is achieved. Multiple amreekan carrier fleets pivoting around Taiwan in South china sea + Japan and whole lot of other anti chainese states are an overmatch for pla navy .

So if china declines India must rise. So, it is in India’s interests that an aging china declines , We got all the skill to rise and our policy must capitalize on this .

Yes, you can say that today after the country the country is stable on two fronts pandemic and Tibet front. But it took many months and lots of efforts to reach this comfort level, even upto July august situation was fluid.

let us be clear, we have to thank our stars that people elected Modi the second time. I don’t think any of the previous PMs would have handled this situation like Modi did

if GoI focused entirely on pandemic and ignored PLA, it would have been chaos in the country. If GoI focused entirely in PLA and handled pandemic sub-optimally it would have been chaos. Modi govt seems to have handled both situations presented before him with great aplomb. and don’t forget from dec 2019 to March 2020 entire nation was focused only on JNU & Delhi riots. And it does look like CCP just selected a President on behalf of US

whether future historians recognise it or not, the country narrowly escaped a series of monumental disasters due to deft handling of Modi and his team.

what you are suggesting is like advancing towards an LMG fire from an enemy position without taking cover.
