The communist cuckery you are talking about is basically left liberal thinking which has permeated many youths in metro cities, not just limited to Bengal. In case of Bengal, this is mostly in Kolkata. This type of thinking originates in college campus of CU, JU etc, where SFI has a major stake.

However, if you move to rural and semi-urban areas of Bengal, you won't find such voices. The pandal from where this picture was taken is in Murshidabaad district. In many Durga Puja pandals what you see is a theme based Puja, where either the idol or the pandal is made with a theme in mind like: Jurassic Park, Titanic, Harry Potter etc. In case of idols, this theme can be Nava Durga, Pancha Durga (different forms of Goddess Parvati). The theme puja concept is mainly to attact large crowds.
Now the specific theme of each puja is determined by the organizing committe, and generally reflects their thinking. In this case, the thinking reflect nationalism.

oh please, any American strategic thinker who is above 60 years of age have done multiple drills in their homes schools and colleges to protect themselves from a Russian nuclear attack on US by hiding under their dining tables and school/college desks when they were kids. They even made a movie called “red dawn” on a hypothetical scenario of what if Russians invade the US.

There is a reason why US policy makers over reacts on any thing about Russia, those kind of mental scars from childhood don't get forgotten so easily.

This time it is different. We are habituated to so much peace is that we can now hardly imagine hostility.

How it is different? China this time came prepared, with tools as well as intent. Doklam was different, both parties were unprepared. China most probably has been preparing since then, building barracks, and heated shelters in Ladakh.
The timing is also optimal. Our air force currently is at the weakest, and Chinese bio-warfare has crippled the world economy except theirs. US elections are coming so the US will be indecisive to commit to the fullest.

Coming winter when the snow settles (post-end-Nov to Dec in some areas), our supply chain to Ladakh will be weakest. In fact, if China does not attack us at this optimal time, that will be very foolish for them, because they might never get such an opportunity again, and India-China defence capability gap will now keep on decreasing every year.

Rest assured, the truth will come out who retreated and who didn't. Satellite images will pick up ground positions, so neither China nor India can live with selling fake news to their countrymen.
