I think M88 engine should be used in Tejas MK1A if we buy more rafales because it will be easier to maintain these engines as both rafales and Tejas would be using the same engine and France is more reliable partner than USA

No foreign country is reliable tbh.

That would also mean CAPF being trained along army lines in a crash course, and also staffed by some Army officers.. any intent shown on that front ?

I agree with you that it is not so easy.
It is a fundamental bureaucratic battle that needs a firm political decision in national intrest.

Employment of BSF in 1965 and 1971 has not been pleasing at all. Army had to suffer lots of casualties to retake those areas from where BSF just scooted.

The most important aspect of any combat/ fighting organization is its leadership and training. CAPF is woefully deficient in that. No amount of NFU or up-gradation of its officer cadre can make them combat leaders unless trained scrupulously well.

The most vital part is interoperability between Army and CAPF. That requires similarity of equipment, weapons and ammunition and especially communication.

But if CAPF can be made use of in relieving Army Formations from the ground holding roles in Second tier or depth areas without ifs and buts, that would increase the availability of troops for offensive roles.

Recently MHA has made some noises in that direction of relieving constables from internal security duties and domestic help duties. Let some good sense prevail and all border guarding battalions be assigned to the borders...

Do you see Xi making any statements? That's what leaders do. Modi has given good enough statements still.
Indian defence posture is designed for defensive approach. The only time we went aggressive was in 1965.. When entire J&K was in threat.

At the moment it is clear that we will not fire the first shot but we will prepare for everything. However If Chinese don't go back expect this to be the new LoC. With China gaining F4-F8 & we gaining heights over Spanggur gap.
Depsang will turn into a grey zone of sorts.
