A pattern noticed among the risk averse lately has been to sell their property and move to Singapore, Malaysia or elsewhere and purchase property.

Trend began around last year and has picked up pace this year.

Thats true, in SCS(east VN sea) conflict, CN forces that were at least triple than VN forces, were retreated shamefully. The reason is simple, Chinese were scared and don't wanna keep risking their lives to die in the conflict with VN.

For the past many years, some analysts have used China's domestic political / economic situations as the reasons behind aggressive PLA behavior abroad.. But, what if the reason for the aggressive ness is China concluding that their time has come, and that they can throw their weight around..

Given its past history, China has often adopted a hardline/aggressive/occupationist policy whenever it wanted to negotiate in its favor whether it was with the West or with its neighbors.

It has also used the same expansionist policy to rally its people behind the CPC in order to divert their attention from the domestic mess which eventually gets sorted out with more money or censorship till people are forced to accept the new normal.
