l like your comment, but you missed t/w ratio of kaveri engine. kaveri not only failed to produce enough power, but also overweight by 200kg plus. 20% reduced power is not a issue. I think, drdo comes with new engine 100kn, and need jv for 5th gen 120kn. [like qrsam] also ej more advanced than ge404 and lighter than ge414, means ej 1gen ahead of kaveri base.

I hope Modi Ji insists on inaugurating all the defence platforms like Tejas MK2, AMCA, etc. with quick and randomly-thought dates being handed out to DRDO and HAL. .

At least due to this pressure, they will deliver the stuff on time.

On a serious note, he is doing this already in the infrastructure sector. The new Goa airport got delayed due to COVID. But apparently he wants to inaugurate it next year in July or August. A close Goan friend who works for the company told me that he's given them the date and everyone is running helter-skelter to complete it.

Me believes this is purley PR. LCH right now is just an airframe. Yet to see any kind of weapons and most importantly sensors.

I wonder how was LCH was handed over without Saab self protection suites. At high altitudes, heli will be turkey shoot for manpads.

At max they might be used for recon
