Atleast they should try to integrate 2 atgms....Otherwise whats the purpose..
Lol at 2. I think Hellfire or another army guy were battling for minimum of 8 ATGM config when required. Apache can carry 16 ATGM in heavy attack config. As of now LCH can carry an max of 4. Quad pylons have not been tested not qualified for LCH yet.

The reason being LCH was planned for IAF with Mistral A2A missiles on them. Ground attack option was kept at a bare minimum with rockets and gun to be full effective. With AAC getting attention it requires, they wanted an new config based on attack. Unfortunately HAL was caught in a middle of turf war with requirements changed left right and centre without increase in budget.
Army is not happy with 4 ATGM, while IAF is happy with 4 A2A missiles. And the govt is not happy with importing missiles and stuffs for the want of money to finish the project sooner.

These beautiful renderings don't show the landing gear..which means it is retracted into the fuselage to reduce drag and RCS..and that's not likely to happen since it adds a lot more complexity to the design. After all, crashworthiness requirements dictates the main landing gear design of the current LCH. If it's made retractable, it'll take up a lot of re-work for structural and crashworthiness analysis and testing.
