...And a 30mm cannon (only 45kg to 120kg gun weight increase) ...And laser-guided rockets.

Lch is designed for combat at high altitude and this is why all the unnecessary things are removed to keep it as lightweight as possible .
Replacing 20 mm cannon with 30 mm commons would increase it's weight significantly because you are not only changing it's canon but also it's ammunation .100 30_mm projectiles would be significantly heavier than 100 20-mm projectiles.

Also you need a heavier and stronger base to handle that 30 mm canon and it's recoil.
This is why they designed it with 20 mm conon so that it can fight at higher altitude

Some nice poem by Saurabh Jha.

The dalal beat:

'We will, We will... Import you!'

dhig dhig tish. dhig dhig tish.

Buddy, you're a dalal, make a big noise
Playing in the corridor, gonna be a big middleman someday
You got MBT on your face, you big disgrace
Kicking your tincan all over the place, singin'

We will, We will ... Import you.

Artillery guns (Dhanush, ATAGS, upgraded M46, locally assembled K9's), helicopters (ALH, LUH, LCH) and tanks (Arjun MK1A/MK2) - are some areas where Army can really rely on domestic products.

The ALH and LUH could hold the key for many of the Air Force and Navy's requirements too.
Only rely on but never get .... if at all only after the war....
Massage for last so many years after independence is clear to the Generals..... Let us see how you fight ?? But then one general said "we will even fight with bare hands'...

Now the are saying we will see if we can deliver after you finished fighting...

Indian Forces are subjected to such treachery...

Helina integration is not a problem...
Helina is not production ready.........helina user trial will complete this year may ...there after integration.....
Bdw which a2a missile mi35 carries
Actually HELINA integration was a problem in Rudra itself. With its pods, it was unable to land. So Mistral was asked for as a stop gap & integrated. Same was asked for LCH for initial induction.

Inspite being a multi role platform, IAF had not gone for more Mi-35. So the next platform they sought for should have all those which Mi-35 lacked.

DESCRIPTION

MISTRAL ATAM is based on the MISTRAL missile with its fire-and-forget engagement mode, ease of operation and unrivalled kill probability.

The system is based on two launchers, each bearing two missiles and can be connected to the helicopter’s combat system, when mounted on combat helicopters, or through simplified control equipment if installed on multi-purpose helicopters.

In both cases, it is characterised by simplicity of operation, a very low crew workload and a high level of performance.

The system can be operated within the whole flight envelope of the launch helicopter, at speeds of up to 200 knots and at altitudes exceeding 15,000 ft.

CHARACTERISTICS
Weight: 18.7 kg
Length: 1.86 m
Diameter: 90 mm
Maximum intercept range: 6.5 km
Minimum intercept range: 500 m

FEATURES

MISTRAL ATAM ensures a large off-boresight capability, together with the ability to aim the missile seeker very precisely at a given target.

The missile has a shaped trajectory in order to intercept targets top-down or at long range, the crew can also select the proximity fuze mode.

MISTRAL ATAM is currently the only helicopter mounted air-to-air missile in full operational service.

Could you please specify which requirement is not fulfilled by above said platforms?? and please Requirements not the obsessions.
They were built or being built upon requirements given by Armed forces in an estimated time frame.

Helina has not yet been tested and integrated.
Is it an obsession ?? Because HAL has offered Spike and MBDA PARS missile integration as an interim measure until Helina became matured the same as mistral 2 or many other projects but no Answer from IAF
Only IAF can give such a bizarre excuse where a primary project has put on hold because the secondary or tertiary project is running in delay.
