The military difference between India and Pakistan in terms of equipment does not reflect the sheer economic difference. Even accounting for the fact that they're bankrupting themselves trying to keep up with us, we should have 3-5x more of every category of weapons. That's not a big ask. We have 15x their GDP, 150x their forex reserves, and 6x their population. But that's not the case.

Numbers matter as shown in the Ukraine war, and we have another much larger enemy.

The fact that they're willing to buy average equipment in large numbers (for their budget), while we do boutique purchases of 36 rafales, 22 Apaches, 15 chinooks, 150 K9 thunder etc will bite us in the ass.

Simple question, has the military advantage of India increased in the last 30 years against Pakistan?

Golden words right there. The MOD IAS brass is not at all battle-minded. They do not have to be dispatched to the front and sit in air-conditioned while eating fatty foods and enjoying their perks. We need a new cadre called IDS Indian Defence Services to reduce the bureaucracy - this needs to consist of military officers who have retired due to injuries caused by the lack of equipment, along with MOD teams and PMO staff onboard.

China knows that it makes equipment that may not be the best in the market, but it also knows that it can make 500 Z-10 gunships while India will have to dance to the US tune to procure another 50 Apaches. China knows that no matter how much we mock the J-10Cs and the J-20s, they can make 100s of them amid a war, train hundreds of pilots and use this force to overwhelm the enemy.

This is a solid strategy that the Chinese adopted since the Cold War era - overwhelming the enemy with numbers. They have convinced the Americans that if the US were to send 3-4 CBGs to target China, the PLA would rain thousands of cheap, long-range missiles on the CBGs. Even if the Aegis ships could intercept 80% of the missiles, it would still sink the invading carriers, causing unacceptable damage to lives to the tune of thousands of dead Americans sailors. That plus the ability to retaliate against the US mainland in case DC got ideas of a nuclear strike, kept the Americans at bay.

Meanwhile, Indian planners think that the enemy will wait for them to send a proposal, get AoN, float a tender, hold a competition, debate for months in the parliament, and then finally purchase a handful of weapons to be able to fight.

Porkis don’t know the difference between Boeing, Beijing and Begging. Also, when you have JF17 tayyara and Allah’s black pilanes who needs Boeing, haan ji?
