its not success of democracy or any system,it is the success of the culture and various ideologies of the Indian people.

putting an over-arching system over a people and its culture adds only a modifier to their behavior. the underlying ideologies,cultures and genetics is the main change causing factor.

India is better because the majority dharmic population has a culture that is conducive (at least more conducive than islamic and central asian tribal culture) to development,poverty reduction and scientific temper.

if pakistan wants to truly develop,then it has to gimp its islam into islam 2.0 at the very least or abandon it altogether which is not going to happen without major force as the memes are embedded in the average paki persons psyche and clamped in place via many institutions.It is not stored in the heads of few generals of landlords or leaders by which taking them out will suddenly cure pakistans failed state nature.The state requires chemo,the disease is terminal without it.
