I thimk there are 3 types of thermal imaging eqp that the army is considering one is from Israel other 2 are from India.

I am also having the same problem. The error says "You cannot post links". I have already tried imageshack & tinypic but no success.

It appears to be some sort of thermal sight for FINSAS put on INSAS.

Whilst it's possible that this is a thermal sight, my first thoughts were this was a sight used for looking around corners as demonstrated on the FELIN project:





Of course it could be a Thermal sight also.

There is reflex sight over thermal sight ..

Looks old, they have to modified INSAS rifle first and then sub system of Infantry ..

He does indeed but the angle of that pic makes it less obvious, see:

The Reflex sight is there so the rifle can also be used in CQB/conventional fighting. It's the norm with such things these days and I'm glad that the F-INSAS guys have included this onto their designs also.

have you seen the DRDO version of HMD ?

It is not like Felin system that you posted.

How so? The system clearly has a helmet-mounted sight incorporated into it. And bare in mind this is a 4 year old video, even the FELIN system didn't have HMDS at the time of project conception.
