IMO very risky option in areas with adjoining seismic zones

Idhar Porky air force base destroy kiya udhar gujrat me earthquake aa gya 😬
it's better to equip existing missiles with earth penetrators . can u shed more light on penetration cum earth shake warhead of prithvi.

I think in pranash, drdo should increase warhead weight to 300 kg from 200 kg..even a 600 kg. Smerc rocket has 250 kg. warhead

@Bajirao

AFAIK

Rudra M series missiles are aeroballistic missiles .

Rudra M2 and Rudra M2A are supersonic aeroballistic air to ground missiles. Weight 700 kg range 300+ km. M2 & M2A difference is in type of warhead / seeker

Rudra M3 is a hypersonic aeroballistic missile. Weight 1.6 tonnes and range 500+ km.

Heavy earth penetrators cannot be mounted on missiles . It is not feasible IMO due to extremely high weight requirement of the HEP. Hypersonic RV ( as HEP ) mounted on IRBM / ICBM will be required to produce the desired results. Or make a MOAB to be dropped by heavy bombers / aircrafts.

BCES ( blast cum earth shock ) warhead

AFAIK

It is gnerally used against runway tracks , is capable of inflicting craters to the tracks, and making them serviceable. it can also be used against other targets like staging areas , depots , fuel dumps etc.

CEP of the warhead : 150 m
Lethal radius of the warhead : 250m
Number of bomblets : 32
Lethal radius of the bomblet : 3.2m

This one is MLPGM which PKS wrongly identifies as SANT

The name Missile Launched PGM (MLPGM) is given because multiple nos of it will be fitted inside a mother ballistic missile as payload and released during over target area, then the multiple MLPGM's will independently seek, acquire, persue and home on the targets.

Theoretically a few no of missiles fitted with MLPGM payloads can take out entire SAM complex along with radars , support vehicles , reload vehicles , C2 vehicles and launchers.

Same for hostile missile batteries both cruise and ballistic along with their support vehicles.

AFAIK this concept of a carrier missile system with multiple missiles piggybacking as payload is unique.

Also as standalone MLPGM will be used to arm our UAVs

Wouldn't the mother missile have to be huge to carry them?

But rudraM1 is ng-arm, which is rocket powered but not ballistic

No

A stubbier missile will increased dia will do the job

Eg theoretically speaking

Pralay missile has a range of 350 km with 1 ton warhead

MLPGM weight < 50 kg

( So if only weight is the determinant then theoretically 20 MLPGMs per Pralay )

However
I have no idea of dimensions of MLPGM but it is smaller than NAG
Also I have no idea of dimensions of Pralay to calculate the size constraints for MLPGMs ie how many MLPGMs can be included within the warhead section of Pralay.

But since the weight is not a constraint , the dimension of Pralay can easily be catered ( changed/redesigned ) to include multiple no's of MLPGMs as payload if required.
