They have some nice lineup of rifle sights which are getting ordered.
On border surveillance too, they have offered a number of sentry observation equipment which I recently saw. No comments on their order thou.
Another segment for which they have provided prototypes are for MALE & HALE drones.
Promahon too have seen orders.
Prototype for male and hale drones from tonbo?
You mean for there EO sensors?

The major emphasis during the year 2022-23 was
on the activities such as critical flight testing and type
certification of Hansa-NG aircraft, detailed design and
engineering of SARAS Mk II, fabrication, testing and trial
flight testing of High Altitude Platform (HAP) – Pseudo-
Satellite,
Project Definition Phase (PDP) of Regional
Transport Aircraft (RTA),
conceptualization and design of battery based and fuel cell based electric aircraft
and allied technologies, research and developmental
activities for aerospace applications in the areas of
radomes, antennas, and stealth technologies, avionics
and enabling technologies, applied research in aircraft
modelling, flight controls, flight simulation, system
identification and multi-sensor data fusion, sensors,
materials and coatings, etc. During this year, CSIR-NAL
took active participation in Aero India and Bengaluru
Tech Summit to showcase its cutting-edge aerospace
technologies.

Till 2017 China tested a light tank in Tibet. Then they started Doklam, Galwan etc. Indian army generals were all sleeping though there were open source photos of the tank. Indian military is reactive, not proactive.

I've got some serious reservation about the usefulness of such light tanks. I just hope that Army's decision to induct is borne out of some solid logic and not a mere kneejerk reaction to PLA.

That solid logic should have implemented 8 years back. Because after Doklam and specially Galwan, army understood specialized light tanks are important for border with China.

Man most probably there will be 0 top protection. With cheap drones (even modified DJI drones), you can drop 2-3 kg explosive from top.

Btw, I was on a twitter space with some Ukrainian and US military people few months back, and the Ukrainians were saying that instead of loitering ammunition provided by US, they found modifying DJI to drop munitions much more useful, since there was no learning curve as the controls were super easy and also drones were cheaper to replace.

How much time will it take for China to bug Xaomi, Vivo Oppo Oneplus phones used by Indian navy sailors?? Is Navy listening. While DRDO is using China state company's cctv camera to protect against China.

Exactly this. Now, if the Army is procuring these light tanks to use them direct fire support role, then it's a perfectly sensible decision but something tells me that this is not to be the case and they are procuring them solely to counter the Chinese Type 15 light tanks, which would be a huge waste of resources.

My fellow keyboard expert. That "solid logic"
Kamekaze drones
wasn't mass produced and wide spread 8 years back.

Did you get it now ?
