It's impossible to have a defence minister with experience in "defence". At max what you can have is a retired personnel from either IAF, IN or IA; not a single person who has served in any two, let alone all three. And then that retired let's say IN defence minister will always favour Naval policies. Maybe even attempt a coup d'etat

So whatever is there is very thoughtfully planned.

Program LRSAM is atleast going since 2016. It has been sanctioned. The missiles are under fabrication.

You will never know when a missile program has been given approval for development.

LRSAM for Navy is very old project. It is XRSAM which is new and DRDO developing it for last couple of years.
But i am less worried about SAM shields. With Akash NG, Akash S, SPYDER, MRSAM, S-400 its pretty decent already. XRSAM, also coming.

I was in various defence forums for over two decades including protonriver, keypub forum etc and seen many like you, they do not have anything to argue other than bad mouthing opponents. This is not new to me. But this shows your background and ethics.

Even Pakistan will have 8 new AIP equipped submarines before 2030.

This is why we should have never let the submarine line run idle. There should be a constant stream of orders to ensure we are commissioning at least 1 submarine a year.
The same with major surface combatants like Frigates and Destroyers. We should be commissioning at least 1 every year

For that we had to sign the deal in 2018 so that when the current order completes in 2024, MDL can start building new ones. This how military

planners works in USA and China. This is how they run large MICs.

Here its completely opposite. The greatest mockery is 2 years after building an aircraft carrier now they are searching for a good aircraft for it.

No surprise we are waiting for another Abhinandan or Galwan!

Till few years back we did not have a Cyber force though PLA was having same for nearly two decades. AK Antony to Arun J to Rajnath, I guess none of them understand differwnce between a torpedo and missile! PM was different.
