Given that the land-based AAD/Ashwin ballastic missile interceptor has been tested and validated multiple times against a modified Prithvi missile mimicking a SRBM, all of which have been successful, I see no point in the Naval variant of the AAD being tested against an electronic target, unless its significantly differs from its land based counterpart.

One case could be single targets vs numerous targets. Targeting radars lose resolution when tracking multiple targets, effect might be more pronounced on a smaller naval radar.

We are dummies that's why.
I mean come on who the hell mounts a pansy ass 81 mm mortar on a armoured platform, it must be 120 mm minimum, although ideal must be 160 mm in my opinion.
And even tiny nations of eurpe have mounted mortars which are 120 mm ones
And we need new mortars, we use 1950 French mortar lol.
Licensee produce something from soltam like Uncle Sam does.

Many (I would wager almost all modern) air to air missiles can be launched in both ejector and rail launchers.
ELse it would cause serious issues with things like conformal weapons stations.
