Yes. This is the third test and only video available till date for ship launch.

In BDL website, they have published the picture of cold launch. Should we believe BDL on it? That I don't know.
Sorry I'm stretching this but the picture is of CAMM missile being launched from Royal Navy's Type-23 frigate.

Also, our VLS for VL-SRSAM has hot exhaust vent which is present only in hot launched missiles.

Are there any plans to put VL-SRSAM on P-17 frigates or P-15 destroyers?
32 VL-SRSAM in addition to the 32 barak 8 already fitted would be good. Maybe with the extra short range SAMs some of the Barak 8 can be the ER version with 150 km range.

Yes, I guess that is the plan since the Indian Navy destroyers and frigates need a 2nd line of defence against incoming threats which can complement its long range SAM system.
Also, there is quite a lot of deck space kept enpty onboard Kolkata, Vizag class destroyers and Nilgiri class frigates with such future additions in mind.

Currently, IN has quoted a requirement of 14 systems which will most probably go onboard the following platforms:
04 P-28
03 P-15
03 P-16A
03 Talwar class / P-17
01 INS Vikramaditya

After all this requirements are fulfilled then only they will move to the newer platforms.

Also, we should start referring the Indian version of DRDO-IAI missile as MRSAM instead of Barak-8. Barak is their own domestic missile system comprising of 3 types.

There are some people who are fantasizing that MRSAM should be replaced by Akash NG. Rest assured that will not happen. MRSAM is our own missile and it will be backbone of Indian Armed Forces for very long time. Even though it is costly, still it is very capable and I think it is also the second tri service missile after Brahmos.
