Good steps in order to stop UN armed forces to change goal posts in middle of weapon/system development as PSQR will be treated as GSQR. These fake requirements were key to kill project even before it's birth.
Victims of this practice:- Arjun, light tank, Riffles, ATAGs, Kalyani group, Rustom 1. Grenade launcher.

Number of trails are also reduced so it will force UN Generals to come out from cozy office and property evaluate system at once. Victims:- Nag, Helina, Astra, Rustom 2, Akash missile.

Contract delay is another malicious practice used by UN Generals.
Victims of this practice:- LCH, LUH, HTT40, Tejas mk1a, Naval ALH, Milap carbine.
pls anger some military types you know by mentioning this,if they are true nationalists they wont complain.

if they reveal themselves as pro-dalal types, abuse them and lynch them if possible as they are worse than our enemies.even if they are old or senior to you.remember,we need a cleansing of traitors for every walk of like.cancel them and remove their ability to live.

According to above thread, Russia's military-industrial complex was already disrupted due to 2014 sanctions, that's why they have not been able to put their newer weapons prototypes into production. Its going to get worse after even harsher sanctions.

If true, this is really bad news for Indian spare supplies.

For the short term it is bad news but in the long run, Russia MIC will get better because they will figure out a way to get those things. Russians are extremely resilient and resourceful people. After all, they have been through 4 great terrible wars and manage to get out on top or near to it. The only catastrophe they suffered was the breakup of USSR and that was due to internal reasons not external reasons no matter how hard these US smoked weed up their asses.

That's around 66 billion $. What are they going to order? Tanks, armored vehicles, helicopters, destroyers, frigates, subs. Even all those wont make up 66 billion, unless mmrca 2.0 is happening
MMRCA 2 will happen.
And capital procurement orders aren't only for new platform- repeat orders of existing platforms like Brahmos, Akash Sams, Radars etc keep coming in. Current annual capital procurement budget is around 20 billion USD and 68% is earmarked for domestic procurement. 66 bil in 5 years is pretty doable stuff

Ssn ssbns would cost a bomb, would cover thirty to 40 percent of the outlay? Awacs also a big ticket item. Rocket force would be another if they are serious. Also providing basic equipment and deep modernisation of army, well I am not sure the outlay is enough lol

I don't think SSN's are happening in next 5 years.
Yeah I was mainly thinking of specialised equipments, R&D on reactors.... Yeah you are right that would be R&D budget.

So when an institution like say BARAC does research on ssn/bn reactors does that come under defence R&D budget or institutional budget.
