Excellent. Remember guys, these ECWCS are much more valuable than any Rafale or S400 in the Himalayas. We can substitute Rafale and S400 with other systems but we could never substitute these ECWCS, without these, a soldier will simply die from cold long before he could ever get the chance to face the enemy.

Honestly not really

Also we don’t know the specifications of the DRDO one.

DRDO only develops weapon systems which are demanded by the armed forces. They would have made a similar version to JSR 324mm Rockets long time back, had Army demanded it. Guided MBRL can do precision strikes, but they can't do evasive maneuvers against SAM, unlike TBMs like Pranash, that's too gonna have 250km range, but with the much required terminal maneuverability.

If enemy uses costly SAM to intercept guided rockets, then we can fire fake rockets without warhead in it to exhaust their SAM's before hitting them with real rockets and missiles with deadly warheads right?
