Just imagine those caterpillar tracks running on a paved highway or road.
Meh... Most of them are rubberised nowadays, a full rubber belt reinforced with steel wire & mesh.
I can definitely see the military trucks towing or mounted with guns or MLRS being much more effective with them.

Plus it completely does away with the 6×6 mechanisms, just drive-sprocket connected at the front with engine.

Maintenance tires are easier to replace...

outline mode is just an passive overlay of thermal and IR vision there is no processing of important data it’s just a passive thing

but looks pretty cool right like some data is processed and it’s only showing the important data.
Well, that itself is processing. But if i remember correctly, there was some more stuff about the one which US military was testing, like how to identify live targets from other heat signatures like from machines. That was apparently done by filtering out some spectrum from IR that mostly living things emit or filtering out heat ranges that humans emit and then overlaying them together while dimming everything else as background.
I don't know whether it will actually become good enough for use on ground, because they were just explaining possibilities but all that is post processing.

On another note, nothing is passive about these TI devices. With all this tech slowly becoming mainstream, people must/should be working on small EMP stuff. One small burst and most of these will be fried. Because i don't think they have hardened the modern semiconductor chips (needed for real time processing with no lag) upto military standards and any shielding will increase weight, which is a huge issue here because it needs to be carried by humans.
Just a thought.

Not really some parts are similar, the real tech behind the L3 solutions is the depth perception which is for now is Classified.
Depth perception? Anything special?
Doesn't using dual tubes already solves that?

So much potential with it... Ten-fold improvement in logistics... Such tech can also enable quick set up of modular shelters at top.

Defence news reporting is just garbage in India (i guess so is every other subject). Out of the 4 minute story, they probably had only around 20 seconds of footage of the actual drone(s) from that start up, rest of it was stock footage, Chinese propaganda and Amazon 🤦🏽‍♀️. Even in those few seconds we see multiple designs - not really sure which drone was actually selected.

defence news in India is garbage when it passes thru commie journalism school educated folks in many of the news media organisations. when you are taught in the journalism school to talk more about negatives than positives, their brain gets hardwired to limit positive exposure of India.

There is a reason why most quality content on defence reporting in India is coming from amateurs on social media, because these content creators didn’t go to journalism school in India.

These MSM folks have reverse Midas touch, even gold will turn to $hit by the time it passes thru their ideological filters.
