Useless excercise? Really? For you everything is useless. When other countries like US, Ukraine etc conduct any type of Military excercise with their Assets than it is not useless to you but when Russia does it, no no ,it is only useless. Surfacing a nuclear ballistic missille submarine off US Coast is a military exercise to you? You do know that Russia does not need to send its boomers close to US coast to lunch its nukes at US targets?

Russia and USA both posess Nuclear Triads. The US in total has 1,357 compared to Russia which has 1,456 nukes.

If it is not a Excercise by Russia than its Possible that Russia is doing this to intimidate the US by Surfacing it's SSBN close to US waters and show the US that Russia is also ready with its Nuclear Powered Submarines.
