ncluding "Communist" in the name of a political party, selling a Soviet-flag souvenir or even singing the Soviet hymn would be punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to a new law passed by Ukraine's parliament

Will Ukraine's New Anti-Communist Law Usher in a Free-Speech Dark Age? | The Nation
@Cadian, what is your opinion about this anti communist law?
Ukraine exists in its present form only because of the Bolsheviks. This is very similar to Finland, which was granted independence by the Bolsheviks (no, Finland did not fight for independence, regardless of what they teach in your history books). However, it is quite natural for people to hate the creator of things which these people hold dear. It's like loving apples, but hating apple trees. No reference to Polska implied.

How is that "democracy"? Today's Ukraine is a fascist State, most likely its actions are directed dictated by CIA.

My prediction about Ukraine made earlier still holds. Ukraine is a State that has no future as an independent country. Despite the brave pronouncements from Kiev, it has deep problems and no solutions in sight.

80% of Ukrainians have become poor due to so called EuroMaidan, and more will join the ranks of poverty as this circus goes on.

Yes, Lenin granted our independence, who knows maybe because he was a German intelligence agent and wanted to secure Finland as a German ally in the north. Stalin nevertheless tried to correct that mistake 20 years later.

I have to say that I admire how Putin has rebranded Russian Soviet past. The same anthem and all. I think we all agree that Soviet Union was terrible regime who killed millions of own citizens. Still it is in today´s Russia seen in positive light. It is sad, but like I said good marketing and re-branding from Russian current leadership.

These murders are indeed interesting. Who could be behind them? Ukrainian far right? Russian FSB or GRU who wants to prepare a false flag? Competing oligarchs? The suspects are plentiful.

What's the reason of false flag? There will not be significant response in world press, there will not be mass protests. In the case of Boris Nemtsov all of this was present, echo of this murder is reflected in nearly every article in Western media and opposition held a huge demonstration in the center of Moscow two days after it, which could not be done otherwise.

A you may know, there are public lists of traitors of Ukraine in the Ukrainian part of Internet, with full info about where they live and work. Oles Buzina was in the first pages of them, as well as Oleg Kalashnikov, who was killed 2 days ago. Commentators on Censor.NET rejoice in the fact of the appearance of death squads, as they say.

OK, maybe it is the this time Ukrainians really want to go to full length to brake away from the past. They fear the failure of the last ones at 20´s, 40´s, Orange revolution and whatever there might be. They view the Russian backed separatism as a sign of the length Moscow is willing to go and are not afraid to use extreme measures themselves. What a mess...

Regarding false flag, I think it is to make case for further advance from separate hold areas with the pretext of "protecting pro Russians who are being murdered in Ukriane"

All right, building a "great nation" is a one thing, building a democratic country with European values is another thing. Personally I do afraid of what they are building and respect people who fight with this regime with arms in hands.

Here is what had appeared on official SBU site "Peacekeeper", where they have a list of traitors:

Underlined: "Oles Buzina was liquidated near his house in Kiev on 16.04.2015."

Here is a link:

Later they added: "One of versions - killed by FSB". Lol, bloody idiots.

Yes situation is worrying, especially because Ryazan is so close to Ukraine. I also hope they develop to a European like open and safe society, but I also know it takes time. If you looked at Russian recent past, for example two Chechen wars, weren´t the really bloody and extreme measures used and still they failed from Chechen independence point of view. Ukrainians have watched this carefully and try to balance between peaceful rebuilding and using force to make sure they do not suffer the faith of Chechen, Georgia, etc.

I watched some of Putin´s "questionnaire" yesterday and it looked like it is business as usual in Russia. But when I talk with my friends, they say, that for example teachers salaries have been lowered from 25000 to 18000 rubles, some food articles have doubled in price, FSB is monitoring all "anti Russian" activities etc...

If you worry about Ukraine, I worry that Russia is descending to a closed Soviet state, where there is one official truth and worlds largest security apparatus to guarantee that everybody follows it.

US conducting provocative exercises close to Russia : Lendman
Read more at LiveLeak.com - US conducting provocative exercises close to Russia : Lendman

There seems to be no end in sight to the war in Ukraine with the US even sending more troops to the country on the "pretext" of training the country's forces, an analyst says. Efforts to end the conflict in eastern Ukraine's Donbass region have "absolutely failed" despite a number of agreements, in which all sides vowed to hold a ceasefire "but the fighting never stopped", Stephen Lendman, a Chicago-based author and radio host, told Press TV in a Tuesday phone interview. He was referring to peace efforts between the warring sides including the Minsk Protocol signed in September 2014 as well as Minsk II inked in February this year, despite which "America is deploying its forces, in increasing numbers, to eastern Europe and conducting"¦ provocative exercises close to Russia's border".

On Monday, US paratroopers arrived in Ukraine for the so-called Operation Fearless Guardian, a six-month plan to train the Ukrainian national guard forces. Such moves are "enraging Moscow legitimately", Lendman noted. Captian P.J. Hartman, a US battalion transportation planner with the 173rd said in an Army news release that the "The equipment on the convoy consists primarily of logistics vehicles to support and enable the training effort in Ukraine. This equipment will provide maintenance support as well as troop and general cargo transport to and from training areas."The move came as most of the people in Donbass only seek "a democratic system of government, not the fascist government that's running Ukraine now", according to Lendman. Since the start of Kiev's military operation to crack down on pro-Russia protesters in eastern Ukraine last year, over 6,100 people have died while nearly 15,500 have been injured, according to the UN. Both sides of the conflict have, on numerous occasions, accused one another of breaking the truce. "The war goes on without end. It's Obama's war. He planned it; he initiated it; he continues it, and it's beginning to escalate," Lendman said.

290 Paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade of the US Army have arrived at Lviv international airport to conduct training for Ukraine's National Guard as part of Operation Fearless Guardian.

UNIAN reports that 900 National Guard servicemen, in three waves, will receive training from April 20th at a military camp near Yavoriv, in the Lviv region.

The interior minister, Arsen Avakov, told UNIAN that among the National Guard units participating in the exercise would be the Azov regiment, "the Kulchyntsky battalion, Jaguar, Omega and other units from Kiev, Kharkiv, Zaporozhye, Odessa, Lviv, Ivano Frankivsk and Vinnytsia."

Avakov said that the US would provide "special ammunition and communications equipment" to the National Guard units on completing the exercises.

The question is what kind of paratroop training is needed by Ukraine's army and where these techniques are supposed to be used? Where is Ukraine going to invade using paratroopers?

We won't make a list about all journalists and opponents murdered in Russia..
Slava Rassiy!! :peace: :peace:
Russia is vilified for this type of behaviour by the West (like lack of openness and freedom), then condones even worse behaviour of Kiev. Shows West is duplicitous.

It is a war - a very serious war where the parties are simply irreconcilable. Murders of journalists and regime opponents will yield little on the ground. Such murders do not make going easy for Kiev.

The million dollar question remains Ukraine's ability to stand up without crutches. Lack of energy supplies, sharp political divisions, constant warfare does not make a tasty soup.

When you lean on somebody too heavily, you always worry about the strength of that support. Kiev must worry as it is leaning too heavily on USA. USA is known to abandon each and every nation it has been involved in.

The chocolate seller, the baldie pastor, and Master "Nuland's Boy" will soon find themselves in hot soup. It is a question of when, not whether.
