Ukraine Admits Its Gold Is Gone: "There Is Almost No Gold Left In The Central Bank Vault"

Back in March, at a time when the IMF reported that Ukraine's official gold holdings as of the end of February, so just as the State Department-facilitated coup against former president Victor Yanukovich was concluding, amounted to 42.3 tonnes or 8% of reserves...
... and notably under the previous "hated" president, Ukraine gold's reserves had constantly increased hitting a record high just before the presidential coup...
... we reported of a strange incident that took place just after the Ukraine presidential coup, namely that according to at least one source, "in a mysterious operation under the cover of night, Ukraine's gold reserves were promptly loaded onboard an unmarked plane, which subsequently took the gold to the US." To wit:
Tonight, around at 2:00 am, an unregistered transport plane took off took off from Boryspil airport. According to Boryspil staff, prior to the plane's appearance, four trucks and two cargo minibuses arrived at the airport all with their license plates missing. Fifteen people in black uniforms, masks and body armor stepped out, some armed with machine guns. These people loaded the plane with more than forty heavy boxes.
After this, several mysterious men arrived and also entered the plane. The loading was carried out in a hurry. After unloading, the plateless cars immediately left the runway, and the plane took off on an emergency basis.
Airport officials who saw this mysterious "special operation" immediately notified the administration of the airport, which however strongly advised them "not to meddle in other people's business."
Later, the editors were called by one of the senior officials of the former Ministry of Income and Fees, who reported that, according to him, tonight on the orders of one of the "new leaders" of Ukraine, all the gold reserves of the Ukraine were taken to the United States.
Needless to say there was no official confirmation of any of this taking place, and in fact our report, in which we mused if the "price of Ukraine's liberation" was the handover of its gold to the Fed at a time when Germany was actively seeking to repatriate its own physical gold located at the bedrock of the NY Fed, led to the usual mainstream media mockery.
Until now.
In an interview on Ukraine TV, none other than the head of the Ukraine Central Bank made the stunning admission that "in the vaults of the central bank there is almost no gold left. There is a small amount of gold bullion left, but it's just 1% of reserves."
As Ukraina further reports, this stunning revelation means that not only has Ukraine been quietly depleting its gold throughout the year, but that the latest official number, according to which Ukraine gold was 8 times greater than the reported 1%, was fabricated, and that the real number is about 90% lower.
According to official statistics the NBU, the amount of gold in the vaults should be eight times more than is actually in stock. At the beginning of this month, the volume of gold was about $ 1 billion, or 8% of the total gold reserves. Now this is just one percent.
Of course, considering the official reserve data at the Central Bank has been clearly fabricated, one wonders just how long ago the actual gold "dmsplacement" took place.

Can we separate the pictorials from the opinions in this thread. I think the opinion matters more than the pictures.

As the issue is very important, it is preferable that people are able to form an opinion after reading through the thread.
@pmaitra, please think about it.
It is fine, mate. Opinions and pictures are both important.

Dutch government refuses to reveal 'secret deal' into MH17 crash probe

The Dutch government has refused to reveal details of a secret pact between members of the Joint Investigation Team examining the downed Flight MH17. If the participants, including Ukraine, don't want information to be released, it will be kept secret.

The respected Dutch publication Elsevier made a request to the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice under the Freedom of Information Act to disclose the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) agreement, along with 16 other documents. The JIT consists of four countries - the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and Ukraine - who are carrying out an investigation into the MH17 disaster, but not Malaysia.  Malaysian Airlines, who operated the flight, has been criticized for flying through a war zone.
Part of the agreement between the four countries and the Dutch Public Prosecution Service, ensures that all these parties have the right to secrecy. This means that if any of the countries involved believe that some of the evidence may be damaging to them, they have the right to keep this secret.

"Of course [it is] an incredible situation: how can Ukraine, one of the two suspected parties, ever be offered such an agreement?" Dutch citizen Jan Fluitketel wrote in the newspaper Malaysia Today.

Despite the air crash taking place on July 17 in Eastern Ukraine, very little information has been released about any potential causes. However, rather than give the public a little insight into the investigation, the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice is more worried about saving face among the members of the investigation.

"I believe that this interest [international relations] is of greater importance than making the information public, as it is a unique investigation into an extremely serious event," the Ministry added, according to Elsevier.

Other reasons given for the request being denied included protecting investigation techniques and tactics as well as naming the names of officials who are taking part in the investigation. The Ministry said it would be a breach of privacy if they were revealed. "If the information was to be released then sensitive information would be passed between states and organizations, which would perhaps they would be less likely to share such information in the future," said the Ministry of Security and Justice.

Dutch MP Pieter Omtzigt, who is a member of the Christian Democratic Party, has made several requests for the information to be released to the public. "We just do not know if the Netherlands has compromised justice," he said in reaction to the ministry's decision. The MP was surprised that this agreement was even signed, never mind kept secret.
Malaysia is the only country to have directly negotiated with the anti-Kiev militias in the East of Ukraine, while the country's Ambassador to the Netherlands said he was unhappy that Malaysia had not been included within the JIT. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte flew to Kuala Lumpur on November 5, but Malaysia says it still did not receive an invitation to join.

"We must first be included in the JIT, otherwise it would be hard for us to cooperate in the investigation. The parties inside the investigation must include us in the team, right now we are just a participant," said the Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, which was reported by the New Straits Times.

A preliminary report by the Dutch Safety Board, which was released September said the MH17 crash was a result of structural damage caused by a large number of high-energy objects that struck the Boeing from the outside.

Dutch investigators added that "there are no indications" that the tragedy was triggered "by a technical fault or by actions of the crew."

I don't expect the Dutch government to reveal it, if they find that the US backed Nazi Kiev regime used their Sukhoi-25 to shoot down the plane.

Oh, Malaysia is not included in the investigating team.

Well, most of the victims were Dutch. If the Dutch Government chooses to suppress the truth, then it will be a confirmed NATO/US vassal, and also a dictatorship.

1.) Yeah, I know.
I knew long ago, this is just a show for the people.
Most certainly, nothing conclusive will come out.

2.) But, how can they not include Malaysia, I mean it is Malaysian Airlines. And they have included Ukraine, who is a suspect. So much for impartial justice.
Just hilarious.

3.) Oh come on, most of Europe holds the prestigious vassal entity status. Nothing new.

They have not included Malaysia so that it is easier for them to manipulate the evidence, or huddle together to make up some fairy tales.

I think Russia should consider cutting off the gas supplies to Europe for the winter and allow the vassals to be rescued by their master.

Russia Invades Ukraine: Again. And Again. And Yet Again

Russia Invades Ukraine: Again. And Again. And Yet Again CounterPunch: Tells the Facts, Names the Names

"Russia reinforced what Western and Ukrainian officials described as a stealth invasion on Wednesday [August 27], sending armored troops across the border as it expanded the conflict to a new section of Ukrainian territory. The latest incursion, which Ukraine's military said included five armored personnel carriers, was at least the third movement of troops and weapons from Russia across the southeast part of the border this week."

None of the photos accompanying this New York Times story online showed any of these Russian troops or armored vehicles.

"The Obama administration," the story continued, "has asserted over the past week that the Russians had moved artillery, air-defense systems and armor to help the separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk. 'These incursions indicate a Russian-directed counteroffensive is likely underway', Jen Psaki, the State Department spokeswoman, said. At the department's daily briefing in Washington, Ms. Psaki also criticized what she called the Russian government's 'unwillingness to tell the truth' that its military had sent soldiers as deep as 30 miles inside Ukraine territory."

Thirty miles inside Ukraine territory and not a single satellite photo, not a camera anywhere around, not even a one-minute video to show for it. "Ms. Psaki apparently [sic] was referring to videos of captured Russian soldiers, distributed by the Ukrainian government." The Times apparently forgot to inform its readers where they could see these videos.

"The Russian aim, one Western official said, may possibly be to seize an outlet to the sea in the event that Russia tries to establish a separatist enclave in eastern Ukraine."

This of course hasn't taken place. So what happened to all these Russian soldiers 30 miles inside Ukraine? What happened to all the armored vehicles, weapons, and equipment?

"The United States has photographs that show the Russian artillery moved into Ukraine, American officials say. One photo dated last Thursday, shown to a New York Times reporter, shows Russian military units moving self-propelled artillery into Ukraine. Another photo, dated Saturday, shows the artillery in firing positions in Ukraine."

Where are these photographs? And how will we know that these are Russian soldiers? And how will we know that the photos were taken in Ukraine? But most importantly, where are the ----ing photographs?

Why am I so cynical? Because the Ukrainian and US governments have been feeding us these scare stories for eight months now, without clear visual or other evidence, often without even common sense. Here are a few of the many other examples, before and after the one above:

* The Wall Street Journal (March 28) reported: "Russian troops massing near Ukraine are actively concealing their positions and establishing supply lines that could be used in a prolonged deployment, ratcheting up concerns that Moscow is preparing for another [sic] major incursion and not conducting exercises as it claims, US officials said."

* "The Ukrainian government charged that the Russian military was not only approaching but had actually crossed the border into rebel-held regions." (Washington Post, November 7)

* "U.S. Air Force Gen. Philip M. Breedlove told reporters in Bulgaria that NATO had observed Russian tanks, Russian artillery, Russian air defense systems and Russian combat troops enter Ukraine across a completely wide-open border with Russia in the previous two days." (Washington Post, November 13)

* "Ukraine accuses Russia of sending more soldiers and weapons to help rebels prepare for a new offensive. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied aiding the separatists." (Reuters, November 16)

Since the February US-backed coup in Ukraine, the State Department has made one accusation after another about Russian military actions in Eastern Ukraine without presenting any kind of satellite imagery or other visual or documentary evidence; or they present something that's very unclear and wholly inconclusive, such as unmarked vehicles, or unsourced reports, or citing "social media"; what we're left with is often no more than just an accusation. The Ukrainian government has matched them.

On top of all this we should keep in mind that if Moscow decided to invade Ukraine they'd certainly provide air cover for their ground forces. There has been no mention of air cover.

This is all reminiscent of the numerous stories in the past three years of "Syrian planes bombing defenseless citizens". Have you ever seen a photo or video of a Syrian government plane dropping bombs? Or of the bombs exploding? When the source of the story is mentioned, it's almost invariably the rebels who are fighting against the Syrian government. Then there's the "chemical weapon" attacks by the same evil Assad government. When a photo or video has accompanied the story I've never once seen grieving loved ones or media present; not one person can be seen wearing a gas mask. Is it only children killed or suffering? No rebels?

And then there's the July 17 shootdown of Malaysia Flight MH17, over eastern Ukraine, taking 298 lives, which Washington would love to pin on Russia or the pro-Russian rebels. The US government – and therefore the US media, the EU, and NATO – want us all to believe it was the rebels and/or Russia behind it. The world is still waiting for any evidence. Or even a motivation. Anything at all. President Obama is not waiting. In a talk on November 15 in Australia, he spoke of "opposing Russia's aggression against Ukraine – which is a threat to the world, as we saw in the appalling shoot-down of MH17". Based on my reading, I'd guess that it was the Ukranian government behind the shootdown, mistaking it for Putin's plane that reportedly was in the area.

Can it be said with certainty that all the above accusations were lies? No, but the burden of proof is on the accusers, and the world is still waiting. The accusers would like to create the impression that there are two sides to each question without actually having to supply one of them.

Russia has really made an art of denying their actions in Ukraine. The best is Mr.Lavrov with his wide eyes wonder. He reminds me of Colin Powell back in 2003.

How should Europe respond to Russia? The Finnish view | European Council on Foreign Relations

Finns warn Europe about the danger of collapsing Russia

Europe, and especially Russia's European neighbours, should start thinking now about the possibility of a serious domestic crisis inside Russia. In the last days of the Soviet Union, the West helped to manage its breakdown by providing billions of dollars of aid. The time may come when we will once again need to consider assisting Russia in order to help avoid or manage its collapse. Contrary to popular opinion in Russia, we do not want chaos after Vladimir Putin.

Too late. You should have stopped the west from grooming those Ukro-Nazis since 1989.

It took a lot of money ($20 billion from George Soros alone) for this war effort, and turning an entire generation from Soviet minded to Nazi minded.

Can Finland play a constructive role?
If somebody can, we can. I think that things will Escalate more before they start to get better. Putin can only show strength to his people. Europe also has lost confidence in Russia and will tighten the sanctions. Without foreign investments to Russia, it will collapse in five years.

I think right now the militia are showing their strength to Poroshenko.

Nobody cares who Europe has confidence in. Europe needs to have confidence in its own economy first.
