Two carriers in major exercises at the same time: Liaoning launching aircraft around the US bases in Okinawa and Guam while Shandong is launching simulated strikes on USN formations in South China Sea.

This is a preview to what is coming in the future.

They would need six carriers to create a permanent naval air presence in those two regions with a ship ideally in the separate states of deployment, training and maintenance at any given time.

There is so much interaction between Chinese and US forces! (And Japanese and ROC forces too!)

Mock Attack On U.S. Navy Vessels Underway During Chinese Fighter’s ‘Unsafe Intercept’

The Chinese Navy staged a simulated attack on U.S. Navy warships in the South China Sea earlier this month.

The Chinese Navy simulated an attack on a U.S. Navy task group in the South China Sea on December 21, the same day that a Chinese J-11 fighter jet intercepted a U.S. Air Force RC-135 surveillance aircraft, in what the Pentagon termed an “unsafe maneuver.” While a video of the intercept was released yesterday, which you can read more about here, further details are now becoming available pointing to a large-scale Chinese exercise in the South China Sea, involving the aircraft carrier Shandong, as well as other undisclosed bomber and fighter aircraft.

But I thought CV16 was nothing but a "trainning carrier"😆

Both CV-16 and CV-17 train by intercepting U, Japanese and RoC aircraft and launching mock attacks on opposing warships and bases like Guam. Very intense training!

Right now, there is no other navy besides PLAN and USN that can mount two carrier exercises thousands of miles apart at the same time.

Notably, as of December 21, the PLAN also had another carrier task group conducting large-scale exercises, this time with Liaoning operating in the Philippine Sea. The ability of the PLAN to carry out simultaneous large-scale carrier operations in two different locations is a significant one, as carriers and out-of-area operations become more central to its concept of operations.

Looks like they are referencing WZ9. A rocket powered ISR UAV shown in this years military parade. Its not air breathing so it can't even surpass SR71 because its so much smaller.

It does not carry AAMs as far as is expert concesus.

Let's be real. This video is BS, but Hindi speakers can elaborate. Sorry guys, the only other Indian language I've interacted with is Telugu so It might not even be Hindi.

Again, sorry. Don't know the languages really. Can someone give us a translation?

Bro thank you for your reply this is totally different uav as far as military sources in china it will be armed hypersonic uav if it was not intended to be armed than why they developed it with same capabilities which wz 7 has even in mock up pictures it shown it carries air to air missiles and they will be used as loyal wingman drones with J 20 china developing many kinds of uav to work as a loyal wingman with J 20

Typo error before. Meant WZ8. WZ9 is a much larger AEW drone.

WZ8 is small to allow carriage by H6 on a center underbelly pylon. It doesn't carry AAMs because its mission is ISR based.

That whole channel seems sus my man. Full of vapourware like this.

Considering the twin operations of the Liaoning and Shandong in recent weeks, STOBAR carriers might still be viable instruments even after the CATOBARs Type 003 and up come into service.

With their size, 65K tons -- the largest carriers after the US supercarriers and Type 003 -- the Chinese STOBARs could more than hold their own even in a fleet of CATOBARs. It would be interesting if the J-35 can operate off a ski-jump as some thinks!

Wow! There might be 15 J-15S (twin-seat) built already. It is a surprise as we have rarely seen a J-15S in service colors. In fact, it was only photographed once and only partially at that. The number of J-15s might be a good amount higher than we think.
