Ya'll Nibbiars well LRDE is working on the AMCA's AESA radar for the last decade with little information available. And most if the sub system like Acuator's, Carbon material's, RAM, Self Healing System's, Fly by Fiber, various Senser, has been done. The prototype and the testing phase is only remaining. even the Internal Weapons Bay and other systems like that has been tested now what left is the Prototypes and testing's.

Its like integration of all such systems into one complete package and testing/evaluating the parameters
Yeah the R&D is somewhat done all remains is integration

Ya'll Nibbiars the funding has been done through various individuals special programs sanctions so keeping track of what already spent is hard. But can say the figure of the Research and Development is any where in billion of dollars. But it would take a effort to track and a keeping of such record's.

Ya'll Nibbiars a serpentine tank prototype image was posted on the DFI back in 2012. The state of facilities we are forced to use is beyond imagination. Researchers work with such outdated facilities.

Can’t we Indians contribute in funding for its prototype development? If every one gives ₹100 atleast then it can be funded pn its own .

Ya'll Nibbiars it's already started but only rubber stamp is remaining. The funding is not that much available in public domain. And also the information is extremely scare.

bro the basic materials are some what different , the properties are different so that the design and other criteria's should be different , so converting a radar from GaAs to GaN is more tedious than designing a new one. so why making unnecessary complications

Ya'll Nibbiars the LRDE started on the New AESA radar programme with a range of about 500 km back in 2012. And VK Sarasrwat already stated back then that the AMCA would be a 5.5 generation aircraft and I am talking about MK 1.

Ya'll Nibbiars that's was back in 2013 don't knew if the link is alive but back then we saw it's and a link specially about the Radar development and another link about the VK Saraswat interview. And also NAK Browne metined about it's.

Ya'll Nibbiara the exact detail about the radar configuration is not available. But some sites metioned that the radar will be mounted on a steerable mounted like the CAPTOR-E. But now hardly any new about it's is available. Back then lot of news was available between 2012 to 2015.
