That must be 3 tons of weapon payload excluding internal fuel capacity. F-35 can carry 8 tons fuel internally. Internal fuel capacity of AMCA is debatable as its assumed combat radius will be around 1000km which is a very respectable figure because internal fuel capacity is 4 tons if I am right. Wiki says with 8 tons fuel, F-35's combat radius is just above 1200km. So what magic fuel AMCA planners have in secret if AMCA would be able to cover up 1000km with 4 tons fuel.
AMCA has 5-6ton internal fuel. Even MWF will have 3.3 ton internal fuel and Rafale has 4.8 ton internal fuel. AMCA is much larger than MWF and even larger than Rafale

France unveiled next Jen fighter mock up in Paris. It looks like it could have same dimensions as AMCA .

Can somebody compare the design and dimensions of this Franco German ngf with amca bacause if they have similar dimensions than the engine of ngf could be a future upgrade/ alternative for amca as well .

The French have planned to make a larger aircraft in order to compete with the PAK FA and J-20.

One can expect the NGF to have incredible range apart from large sensors.

AMCA looks more realistic compared to TF-X
As many key technologies are already developed by ADA like use of composites, serpentine air intakes, fly by wire, digital cockpits, AESA radar etc.
Much more is getting ready for mk1a and mwf which can directly go into amca . Integrated EW suite for mwf. Panaromic cockpit display with sensor fusion. Indian weaponry Astra mk1/ mk2 and sfdr.

More importantly AMCA is financially viable given massive India economy ( bigger than UK France already bigger than Germany Japan by 2030) and huge airforce which guarantees 300+ domestic orders over 2 decades. ( Given lca and derivatives have 324 orders.)

Turkey will need exports to make project viable. But who will buy a half baked Turkish fighter when they can chose from f35 , ngf of France /Germany , AMCA , KF-X Korean , Japanese next gen bird. Even for countries blocked by west there are option of su57 , j20 , j31.

This is going to be crowded. Only big countries with huge domestic orders can succeed in future fighter jet market. That is why Germany/ France need to go together as project simply is too costly to go alone. Also Russia is struggling to fund all aspects of su57 with India withdrawing.

Economic is as critical a factor for next gen birds as technology .

That is because Turkey has 0 infrastructure base. It can't even make a third generation plane. It can't make radars and imports the main components of its own radars but falsely brands it as Turkish radar.
Turkey has no real basis for declaring TFX other than ambition. So, it is unviable.

Economy is not the main factor but infrastructure is. Russia doesn't have a huge economy but still can make fantastic planes and military equipment. Turkish problem is in lack of infrastructure.

Curious....
based on your logic.. compared to turkey, do we have better infrastructure to build advanced aircraft at this point in time.

Russia has actually experience from past. It's economy may not be that big but still substantially big economy. More important, it has a domestic market (it's own armed forces for weapons) and a great reputation in export as well.
