Italy also has the world's 2nd largest older age population after Japan . So no surprise their death rates are shooting up day by day . I see its more about health care is deciding who should live who should go . They are letting go off all old people above 70 and trying to save as many as younger ones as their hospital capacity is limited .

Italy is paying price for open border and socialism.

https://www.americanthinker.com/blo...ss_the_eu_is_and_socialized_medicine_too.html

Turns out this open-borders globalist set-up is stiffing the Italians in their hour of need:

First, the EU created the problem by failing to shut down their borders with China, enabling its spread into Italy in the first place. While President Trump was acting swiftly to protect America from the lethal virus, the European Union was saying there was no crisis and calling Trump a xenophobe.

Now, with Italy hit hard based on that hate-Trump 'logic', its medical system is overwhelmed. Its doctors and nurses are exhausted. There's not enough equipment, there's not enough supplies, and the patients keep coming. The Italians are appealing for help with masks, surgical equipment, doctors, anything that will enable them to get through it and save human lives -- and the EU is not giving it.

Maurizio Massari, Italy’s permanent representative to the European Union, wrote an opinion piece for Politico Europe Tuesday evening publicly shaming fellow EU states for their failure to help, and once again asking them to come together. Instead, European countries are banning the exportation of face masks and other medical equipment needed to deal with the crisis. Germany's health minister, quoted by Politico, argued that this was necessary: “The market is such at present that masks are not going where [they're most] urgently needed, it’s where people pay most money for them.”

This is absurd. First of all, if Germany's government is really so worried about masks not getting where they're needed (as opposed to covering its own backside), they can donate masks to the Italians, can't they? This complaint about profiteering is really just cover for their own fearful selfishness.
Why is that a problem? Because the European Union is supposed to be all about lovey-doviness, nations giving of their surplus to help others in the name of the greater good. Everybody sharing, the whole greater than the sum of its parts. Helping the poor out, putting people first (remember how Angela Merkel 'volunteered' the rest of Europe to take in some of the migrant masses she herself invited in? -- I invite, you pay?) But so much more virtuous than that cowboy regime across the pond.

Coronavirus: PC gamers asked to donate GPU time for research
In addition to trying not to transmit the virus by regularly washing their hands and self-isolating if they show any symptoms, PC gamers can also contribute to cutting-edge research.

Simply by installing software which runs in the background of their computer while they continue to use it for other activities, the gamers could be helping develop a treatment for the virus.

The Folding@home (F@h) project is a distributed computing research programme which uses the idle resources of thousands of volunteers' personal computers to simulate the molecular dynamics of protein folding.

Some of the most powerful equipment which normal people have to hand are graphics processing units (GPUs), a particular kind of computer chip designed for gaming.

As per our fellow Dfian @OneGrimPilgrim who just came back from Europe and landed in Delhi the clearance was just 20-30 minutes including collecting his luggage from the belt and move .

This is retarded. Most US airports are small and shitty as it is. Bunching people for hours will ensure community spread.

Hope we're doing this much better.

You would be surprised they had put travel restrictions between countries now inside EU.

Although in late February, the EU claimed that they don’t consider the Coronavirus to be a strong enough reason to halt the Schengen Agreement, certain EU member states have now imposed border checks.

On Friday, March 13, Slovakia, Malta and the Czech Republic announced they will close off their borders to fellow EU member states in an effort to try and stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

I am sure others are noticing this too, the things this pandemic is making “gyan baazi givers” do is amazing. It’s as if one biological virus is hitting at the heart of notions built up over the last 30-40 years.

People who advocated against social “discrimination” are now advocating social distancing.

People who advocated open borders are now advocating border controls.

People who advocated globalisation are now advocating in-house supply chains and export controls.

People who took pride in their first world status, are lamenting on lack of hospital beds and chaos.

People who treated Ebola crisis as a third world epidemic and gave gyaan bazi on TV, are now fighting over toilet paper and self quarantining them selves in their houses.

Etc etc...

If this isn’t a great equaliser, what is?

And we are still at the beginning of the curve, we don’t even know if the peak is yet to come or already over.

a little insight into why south korea went into an overdrive on testing...
Thread...
======================
The Coronavirus Chronicles keep getting weirder and weirder. You've probably heard about the sudden outbreak of the virus in South Korea. Well, did you also know that this is, in large part, to thank to an actual death cult? It's called #Shincheonji, and it's super scary.

This stuff is out of stock.
Protective gear is not available NOW for public.
Their is total shortage of N-95 mask in delhi that shit used to cost 50-70rs but now even for 500rs+ it's not available.
We used to import Mask from PRC for now only substitute is 2 or 3 layer mask that mask used to cost 0.70rs but now cost 15-20rs. Production of that sheet is going to increase as manufacturing of that product is getting started in india but still their is a huge huge shortage.
Even surgical gloves will be in shortage soon because we used to import them from Malaysia.
