Point noted but nukes would have still changed the outcome of the war imho. Obviously Germany managed to bite more than it could chew. As for Japan even the Americans noted that an invasion of the Japanese home island of Hokkaido would have been a costly affair. As Eisenhower notee dropping a nuke was the only option to stop escalating costs of war.
Also those who are talking about oil and its shortage if Germany could have held onto Romania or had it built more synthetic oil plants(Fischer Tropsch process) it could have still ran its war machinery.
The logistical, tactical and operational debate to me look quite dishonest because of the hindsight advantage and also very simplistic.
Therefore I would add more ideological debate points for member to ponder and refute.
Hitler was fighting a lost war due to fewer colonies that can replenish him with men and material and the switching on from one failed ideology to almost the same Ideology without making a radical change became deleterious.
Remember Marxist Ideas were universal, internationalist.
After WW1 the leftist Ideologues especially Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler and hundreds of others observed that prophecies of Marx which says working class will become poorer and there will be a revolution in all industrialized states like England and Germany never came to be true. On the contrary, it came in the least developed Russia and not by the proletariats but professionals, intellectuals, Lawyer and revolutionaries to topple Czarist regime.
They also observed that the French Socialist fought for France, German Socialist Fought from Germany and so and so forth. They identified Nationalism as more attractive to masses, therefore, tweaked the Idea of Socialism to National Socialism.
Stalin used the slogan Mother Russia. Musollining tweaked it to create Fascism. Hitler who saw Mussolini as his mentor and called him last Cesar tweaked it to Nationalist Socialism (Nazism). The nationalism was one of the ingredients but not exclusive ingredients per se.
The Leftist Idea remained the same but they added nationalism into the concoction. Those who have read communism in detail knows that the last stage of Communism is that there are no states left.
But they could never successfully brought about the 1st stage to its full potential.
In the background of this quick readjustment which should have been given more time to mature Hilter understood that there are no colonies left to win but he will use the magical Idea of National Socialist state and somehow it will work. One of his Nazi party member who studied American polity and history suggested him to work on segregation doctrine of Southern Democrats. The Nuremberg Laws were an exact depiction of the Southern Democratic Party's laws of segregation and slave control. Nazis simply removed Blacks and replaced it with Jews.
The overconfidence and even being an ideological sibling of Stalin Hitler went full retard and thinned himself out in vast swaths for Russian landmass in the peak of winters would me my input on his military blunder.
But an ideologically immature doctrine founded on exasperation of losing out the race of colonizing to other European state is my main reason that he never had the chance to win in the first place.
