US is the home for evangelical new age christianity (mera yasu yasu types), who believe their goal in life is to take as much of world out of darkness by converting to christianity as they can. These guys even get their kids to take gap years to go to some poor country and do missionary work.

No one is our friend, there are allies of convenience. There are 2 reasons why hindus in UK have been able to break into their conservative party but not in US :
1. Many Hindus in UK are from Africa, were driven out by Idi Amin, these guys are much more unapolegetic about their identity and not afraid to organize as Hindus instead of some chutiyap "black-brown" coalition.
2. Conservatives in UK are much less Christian nationalist, but way more classist, elitist and anglo supremacist (they have superiority complex over other euros). Hence, there is more leeway to make it into their party as a Hindu, than in Republicans, who have a very solid christian nationalist faction.
